Thanks to Tippmann for the 2 brand new pistols my crew aquired.

The person that won the Duel Club this year (both divisions), this was his 4th time EVER playing paintball, first time at a scenario/big game, first time shooting paintball pistols.

He had an absolute blast, and this just made his weekend (it's something he will never forget for the rest of his life)

If anyone has any pictures, please post them!

Official Results will follow...

When I recover, I will post the official results for our two Duel Club events.

In the meantime, congratulations "Two-Gun". He took "there can only be one" literally.

This was the largest event so far and one of the most competitive. There were some very good shooters in the square and everyone came to win. You have to lucky and good (in that order) to survive to the final round much less win. To do it twice is very impressive.

I expect to see a two-gun rig on that man at the next Duel Club event he attends.

There will be Youtube and pictures up as soon as PVN can get them assembled.

Thanks to everyone who came out. Special thanks to Goose who came up with the original idea and helped run the event. Goose and I may have to turn over the franchise so we get a chance to play if Tippman keeps giving away goodies!

Yes we need to start branching out so that we can win some prizes too!

Also I would like to point out one exceptional shot made during the Quick and Dead competition. And that was when I (Goose/Don Tyrell) took out Eldon Tyrell in the orange square. Muwahahahahaha!!!

Oh, yeah?!

So now you want to get in on Barney and I's little private war, do you? Huh, Skippy? I thought you said, "Let's demo it." I didn't realize bragging rights were involved.

OK. You are officially up 1-0 on Eldon for "Quick and the Dead".

Don't get used to it. Oh, and don't be surprised if the Purple One himself challenges you as well.

Ain't this fun?

Well as you know and preach. The game is always on. Of course my original intent was to drop the gun to my side and announce that I could not shoot my long lost brother. Then pull a second pistol and do it anyway, but the darn loaners went down and I only had the one. Oh well. Great fun was had by all.

Yes sir. SH5's standard schedule includes- Stalingrad, ION, BfB, and dare I say they may add another to the mix... I'm hoping they do!

Duel Club Official Results

Duel Club held its latest event at Skimish USA's "Invasion of Normandy 2009". Named "TPX Duel Club" for this event in honor of Tippman who provided a pair of TPX Pistols as prizes and a number of loaner weapons. Our deepest thanks to Tippman for sponsoring Duel Club and allowing us to use their tent for the Diplomatic Reception.

Results of "TPX Duel Club":

A Matter of Honor (standard Duel Club rules)
Jonathan Chevere (Wulfenkow) MASTER DUELIST
Joe Vadala (Red Raiders)
Chris Pickel aka "Murdoch" (Slaughterhouse 5)
"Shogun" (Slaughterhouse 5)
Jacob Dube and Quentin Mariano (Wulfenkow) tied for 5th.

The Quick and the Dead (new fast-draw division)
Jonathan Chevere (Wulfenkow) MASTER SHOOTIST
Paul Dube
Quentin Marian (Wulfenkow)
Khaos (TSSOC)
Hustler (TSSOC)

Yes, the same player won both events, the little freak. This was his fourth time playing paintball and when last seen, he was walking about a foot off the ground. Can't say I blame him. There can be only one. This time that was literally true.

We also had our first father/son make it into the top 5 for the two events. Jacob Dube (known now as Dube the Younger) tied for 5th in A Matter of Honor and his father Paul Dube came in second in The Quick and the Dead. I suspect they won't be able to resist finding out who is the best at some point in the back yard.

For those of you keeping track, I redeemed myself in the Rapide duel by finally hitting Barney. Of course, he hit me as well so he is 2 for 2 on hits and I'm 1 for 2. We'll fix that in the video later.

Starting up a whole new rivalry, Goose of Slaughterhouse 5 decided we needed to "demo" the Quick and the Dead. Forgetting my own rule that the "game is always on" I failed to take "Skippy" seriously and just shot in his general direction. He drilled me in the inner thigh. I will not make that mistake twice. Update your will Goose.

Thanks to all those who came out. We apologize for the "rain out" Friday evening and the need to hustle things along on Saturday. Time was tight and everyone was very helpful in getting this largest of the Duel Club events done with 5 minutes to spare before the ION player briefing.

Special thanks to the Skirmish refs who helped us run the event and judged the hits and to the ever faithful Nyxx who kept me straight and focused on the mission.

As always, I wish to thank Paul Fogel for letting us play in his yard and add a little class to what would otherwise be a disorganized brawl.

Video on YouTube from the PVN studios will be forthcoming.
