lol Well I was over there on the German side... One hell of a fight let me tell you. I learned a lot about what to do though.

I had/have such a bad sunburn on my head that the heat actually melted the paintballs before they even hit!!! Come to think of it the only head shots I got were the one behind my ear while telling players to move up, one literally in my nostril when I slipped backwards and got shot, and the two skips I got off my Save Phace mask on Sunday.

I wore a tiny pirate pillowcase on my head as a bandana. It actually caught 3 paintballs over the course of the game. I would get nailed and ask ppl if i had a break and they would pull the paintball out and hand it to me. wild. head feels like a squishy avacado right now

I only got three breaks off my shoulder from one of my teammates. Other then that, the Allies had nothing on me! ...I mean yeah, I got alot of bounces, but no breaks during the beach attack.

Kinda easy (no offense) when we are all bunched up and you know where we are coming from...
Allies were shooting into the dark wooded tree line. It caused what I believe to be a true re-enactment of what the real Normandy invasion must have been like. Not there personally mind you but thinking about it you can almost imagine the bullets coming from GAWD knows where... and returning fire in the general direction... you hope to hit something...
Course that is why on the second insertion I decided not to shoot anything until I could see you guys... lol (Course that cost me 8 more respawns before I made it to the wall)..

i know me and my buddies destroyed the 1st 2 waves off the boats
so sick how just the 8 of us in the 1st mogul wrecked them
hahahahahaha, lmao, nice dude the mounds? um reason i asked this thread is cuz me and my bud ran all the way to the hyper pipe right next to the boat, (german's left of the left boat) and hosed all of them from almost at a backward angle, so yeah you shot them all the way from the mounds, i love all you guys that always shoot me in the back of the head!

Well on sword if I remember correctly, there were a few bunkers and buildings. Germans didn't have much to hide in really, unless they built it.
But in our case I figured out real quick what worked and didn't work for us. Going to have to make the changes next year for sure

I was only saying that when you are on the beach you cannot see into the tree line, (too dark). You guys definitely did not have anyplace to hide but we still could not see you until we breached the tree line.
Later in the day I was shooting out onto the beach at your Germans as they advanced towards Sword beach and it was very easy to see who to shoot at.

Oh yeah you are definitely right for sure. Actually in the video provided here, that's all you guys running off the boat for the first time.
I was commanding the 8th SS Kav. on that side and I will tell ya that was one of the hardest fought for beach battles I have EVER seen! You guys brought the pain for sure!
We tried to push a lot of people into the moguls and keep them there. But a lot of our walkons took defensive positions behind the wall, which was ok as well.
After the hour mark, I had to run back to insertion and gather groups of people and either run them myself to our beach or tell them where to go and ignore the rest of the line but instead head to our side (the far left).
