Train set I just inherited...*pics*

So I just inherited this train set from my grandfather. They're selling the house and this is what I ended up with. More pictures are coming, but this is what I have for now. They're O scale and theres probably 2000 feet worth of track. 5 engines all together and a bunch of cool other stuff. I'll get the rest of the pics up in a bit.

My personal favorite...

every frat boys dream

Heres the table....this is obviously post dis-assembly of the majority of it. I do have some pics before i took it all apart but those are trapped on the camera I cant find the cable for.

Wow that's some cool stuff. My dads friend gave him a bunch of Lionel stuff. If got a couple hundred feet of track, some crazy overhead crane, other goodies. Also have 2 store bought style sets also, but ones a collectible and I'm not allowed to open it. Ive got a butt load of HO scale stuff under my bed.

I used to be hardcore into trains but lacked the funds to feed my want when I was 8 lol.

Yea, it'll be probably another 20 years or so before I actually get to put all this stuff back together. The table that all that is on took my grandfather about 9 months to put together and build properly. And it wasnt a get to it when you can build either...it was like every night after work for hours on end. All the inclines and declines and **** had to be just right so they could actually make it up and down. He never "finished" it int he sense of putting scenery and trees and all that ****. He was going to, but once I was born he figured he'd just leave it for us to play with and if he had nice stuff we wouldnt be trusted alone with it. The trains themselves are very nice and very expensive, but he didnt want to put all this stuff together just to have it wrecked by me and my yet to be born brothers.

My dad has a cool HO scale collection, we actually got him a really bad *** locomotive for christmas this year. Once I move out and he has the downstairs back to himself he's going to put them up, but he may need to wait another 3 or 4 years. lol

I cant find my cable for my camera but when I get home in a bit I'll post the rest of the pics of the table and the other engines.

My dad has a really big setup of HO scale trains. He was planning on changing everything to N scale, but I dunno if he has. Builds most of the scenery himself, he even has a few awards for some of the things he's built.

I've always liked model things and whatnot, there's just something cool about building a very realistic scale model of something.

Yea, I always wanted to do that to my grandfathers table, it would have been a city scape though. I just didnt like the idea of the trains he had in that close of proximity in a country/mountain setting.
