I believe it is a gen2 because it has a gloss finish. From what I understand, only the gen 1 and 2 had gloss finish. However since the 2007 quest came out, the gen 1, 2, and 3 are all just referred to as OG quests. And for the trade, I think you should definitely go for it. Quests are great and it having a viture board, new bolt pin, gm bolt, cp reg just make it even better of a trade.

ya i made an offer to trade and was just wondering if i should accually go for it if it works out, the dm5 just feels too tall in the body for a spool so i wanted to go for something new. I have no expirence with quests and thought it would be good for me to ask. thanks for the info and if anone else has any info that would be great. Just wondering, what kind of efficency can you expect from a 68/45?

Question: Is gen-1 Quests the ones with Angel grips?
Edit,
I worded that wrong. Is Gen-1 ONLY the ones with Angel grips? Or do the late Gen-1's have the FEP grips? Or is it to fuzzy to say because of all the small changes over time?

I'm actually already talking to him about buying it outright. Yes, all these people talking about Quests have made me want another. So I'm buying that one. I will be putting my NOX board in there, a red Trinity on/off, and putting that Virtue board in my gunmetal and probably sell the gunmetal one.

Ugh, no way. I hate virtue boards. Everything I've ever had them in they were far worse than stock. Horrid boards.

Comparing Virtue to WAS, yeah, Virtue is better. But in EVERY other marker, nope, Virtue is more expensive and brings NOTHING to the table. I shoot STRICLY semi, and so Virtue has never produced anything that is better than stock boards. And I've had 2 Virtue boards, and I've had to use the lifetime warranty on BOTH. That's why I'm a hater. I'm tired of having my board go bad every 6 freaking months because of their shoddy quality. Only boards I've ever had fail on me. Yes, it's possible I just got lousy luck with them, but I'm not willing to give it another chance. I'll just stick to companies I trust their products.
Ajak124578 - it will probably be sold locally. I already know of someone who has asked to buy it off of me on MULTIPLE occassions. He has a standing request that I bring it with me every time I go to the field so he can use it.
