Non-name brand foods..

Like Safeway foods and Kirkland brand.. They make the exact same product as the name brand but go for lower costs, why?

And at Costco they have like Kirkland Gatorade or something like that, is that real Gatorade or is it like the dumped out Gatorade?

Nothing against Kirkland, I like their stuff, but I was just talking about it a friend and I want to know whats the deal?

Store name products are cheaper becuase they dont have nealry the same advertising budget as the name brand does to promote that product.

Sometimes the store brand is made by the same name brand company and packaged differently all within the same warehouse and then shipped to the stores distribution center.

a little factoid a friend of mine who is a buyer for publix told me is that "Dole" canned Pineapple is grown in mexico but Publix brand canned pineapple is grown in hawaii. catch my drift?

the store brand also use cheaper ingredients. Like i kno in ice cream they use more stabilizers than name brands such as Edys.

Chief Marketing Officer: "So what should be name this cereal, there has been much struggle over the naming process"

CEO:" **** IT, Crispy Hexagons mother****er!"
