Got it for $85 plus shipping. Also picked up a new JT Flex IZE+extra thermal lens for $38 and 12" Dye Alum. for $35.

My brother is tearing it apart to get it working right now. But I wanted to take some pics first to show you guys. The plastic seems strong enuff to do the job. You can see in the pics that it's a different style grip. A little form fitting near the bottom.

And it says right there on the gun, "Black Dragun". Just for all the Angel players to know that this is the ultimate budget gun that throwin' all that paint in their direction!!

Does that compact have an LCD window? Is that what I see there?

Specifically, in this picture: http://www.speedsociety.com/gunnahwon/DSCF0200.JPG

Nope, that's a vestigial indention in the plastic where the LCD WOULD be if the gun had one, kinda like the pilot hole for a vertical adapter you see in the body rails of Automag Classics, or even the gas tube slot for a vertical adapter in an M98 custom.

Also, I take it the Compact does not have the snap-back bolt feature, does it?

Yeah, definitely looks like the E-2 grips--evidently without the guts! Also looks like the E-1 body, and not the snap-back bolt!

But still I agree--looks like one hell of a deal for the price.

gunnawhon, I wanna see this in the pic thread, ya hear me???

I mentioned in the other thread how FirstCall is selling the trigger frame alone for $99. Well, I got the blue compact and it even comes with the M3 E.T.F. trigger frame manual that describes how to install it on a Kingman-style marker.

Here's a pic of the internals.
Note those mounting nuts on the bottom, they don't look like they'd hold up to a lot of weight...

I was by M3 today. I talked to the guys there and may begin to play some with the owners at the local league field. We went by there cause a friend of mine wants either a Dragun or a Dragun frame for his Spyder. Anyway.......everyone needs to know that the bolt pattern on the Composite frame of the Dragun Compacts (although in a straight config as opposed to offset Spyder) is not set at standard 3/4 width. You will have to make some sort of adapter to mount a standard drop forward or ASA to the Grip frame.

Now, with that said. My thought was to buy an Intruder Expansion Chamber........like many have on C98 Tippmann's. This would thread into the Vert ASA (not the grip frame) and your bottle would thread into that. Although pricey, this would solve the problem of making an adapter. More than likely once I get some cash I'll have a Compact Model set up in this fashion.

This will give an idea of the set-up I'm talking about

Sorry Nerobro, I just wanted to make sure that anybody that was considering one of these new models got a chance to see what they'd actually be getting. I'll put them up in the pic thread shortly

Does that sticker come off of the gun? The one that is to the right of the verticle adapter.

While I'm 99.9% sure that the jewel you refer to can be removed, I'm not going to be the sucker that can't get his jewel to stay on after testing it out.

Seriously, after I found out the trigger frame was plastic I tried to cancel like 15 minutes later. They said it was cancelled, but then sent and charged me for it anyway. I was pissed at first, but for $85 I think it's a great marker and I'm prabably going to keep it. I'm heading out to try it out shortly then I'll know for sure.
