Even so, the Doctors and Dentists arent going to lose their jobs, or even lose the money. Our Medical field in America is expanding everyday, Medical machining companies are making new jobs everyday with extremely good health benefits.
It sucks that your Mom has to be laid off, especially when she is a single mother, but it is the automakers fault that they are in this situation. Why would anyone in America pay $15,000 extra for a car just because it is American? Especially when the Import that is $15,000 less has better fuel economy and is more reliable? No one wants to pay extra, especially when everyone else in the country is tight on money.
It does suck that so many people are losing jobs due to the stupidity of the Domestic Automakers... Hopefully, very soon the economy will be turning around and they will be getting their jobs back. But you have to realize when you are getting into a production/assembly job like that... there will be slow times when you will get laid off.
Not trying to start a huge arguement... Just stating my opinions in a friendly manner.
