Myspace Music Friend Requests?

When a band/singer/musician sends you a friend request on myspace, how many of you actually take the time to go and listen to their music? I almost always do because i think if theyre taking the time to actually try and promote themselves, im not really helping the cause by blowing them off. Plus i think it might be a good way to open yourself up to music you would otherwise never come across.

Unfortunately, i havnt yet found a band i like in the 3+ years that ive had a myspace.

Also, you can post myspace music bands that you've come across and liked if you want.

I usually listen to them if they are local. And I found a few that were decent, but none that I started following.

I do.

It's annoying as I seem to attract only bands who sound like Panic! at the disco.

Some boy band added me who live around me. I told them off. They listed me as an influence on their music.

I usually listen.

For some reason though, I get a lot of hard rock, prog rock, and ****ty experimental. Most of it is bleh, but I've come across a couple that weren't too bad. And surprisingly a hard rock band a few towns away that's somewhat decent (if they change a few things up).

I still have never had a myspace.

It is the best way to avoid things like this.
