You know you're old school when you remember:

-when speedball was just a weird novelty event at woodsball tourneys.
-when pumps outnumbered semis.
-when there were no electros.
-when everyone wore camos.
-when you could leave your gear unsecured in the staging area.
-when cocker 3-way rods weren't threaded.
-when 500psi was considered low pressure.

When the kids with expensive fast guns look at your old pump and think what a POS and you are doing the same thing to theirs.

When - I bought a rental Nel-spot 007 for $50, took off the upper tube and welded a direct feed on top, spray painted the gun black, added a rear screw on 7oz constant air tank with a plastic buttplate.

Then bought a bushmaster Skirmish because I couldnt afford the Bushmaster SI.

when - Had a friend with 3 guns, splatmaster rapide, pmi3 that shot thru malelucas and a phantom.

When Miami Terminators were national champs

I'm not old school but I try to play that way every now and then....

I use this....

I used it once to gog a guy that tried to run me down with an E-Blade. As my ball struck his goggles, I felt a ball hit my knee. I called myself out. When I got to the sideline we noticed that the ball actually bounced and not broken. Everyone on the side line told me to get back in the game. I declined saying I had already called myself out.

Is this not the way of old school?

Wink You know you are old school when...

You owned 3 different Flex-Hones...
You made your own feed tubes from scuba snorkels...
You knew the difference between a breech drop and a bore drop...
You remember General George and the Waffen Elite (aka Waffle Eaters)...
Your team invested in a ball tumbler to improve accuracy...
You played against Bart's Stud Squad on their first trip over the pond...
You rocked Thunderwear gloves, Idema vests, and Oakley shades...
Electrical tape was everywhere, but batteries were still years away...

Some of those were good, but dang is 2003 really considered old school now? That's like saying your old school if you checked every day hoping the hAir trigger was ready to go yet. I think its got to be pre 2K to even be considered maybe old school.

Not my personal experiences, but my father-in-law's...

-When you bought a Line SI Bushmaster new...when they first came out (and still use it to this day)
-You played against Bob Long and his newfangled autococker that sounded like a sewing machine when it fired
-The Wichita Assassins beat down people in the mid-west region on a consistent basis
-Big tournaments were still in the woods
-The pictures from said tournaments, along with the magazines they were printed in, were still in black and white
-You purchased, modified and repainted a school bus to haul your team around
-Hauling 20 camo-clad guys around in a school bus with the words "Wichita Assassins" painted on the side didn't get you arrested
