WTF Cymbals

ok so i have come here for other drum related help because i am new to the drum world and you guys have really helped. Now i have a new question. I saw these on ebay and i thought to myself cheap ****ty cymbals but i looked at them anyway and when i saw the video they posted of the sounds i said wtf. i thought these sounded pretty good. well the first thing is getting these no name cymbals.. stcik with the zildjians sabian paiste ect ect.... these cymbals sound very cheap and i think u should shoot for some sabian b8's or zildjian zbt's...... do not buy these thats my opinion

Those things do sound kinda terrible. I mean, its better than the pounded out tuna can $10 cymbals, and if thats all the money you have to spend then yeah get some to play on and practice for a while until you get better and want to upgrade. But if you have the money to spend on a set of B8's or zbt's, id do that instead. I've never heard of osp cymbals, and in my experience you usually get what you pay for. Took me a few years to break any of my b8's when I was starting out, those would probably go a lot faster.

those do sound pretty bad, especially for the price. if you're buying online you really have to just go with the name brands since there's no telling what the sound is going to be like.

on the other hand, there's a percussion store near me that usually has some off-brand cymbals that are really cheap but they actually sound quite good.
