Filling a 3000psi tank
I have a 3000 psi tank and was wonder if I could fill it at my local field they only have a 4500psi fill tank. Would it just fill to 3000 or is it unsafe?

it's unsafe. If they don't have an option to fill it to 3000 then I suggest buying a 4500. It's always better to be safe. Don't be afraid to ask your local field if there's a way.

If you really pay attention to the gauge and dont let it go above 3000 then you should be fine, if it does go a little above 3000 dont worry, when they hydro tanks they fill them 5 times higher than what they are set for. If it does go over, I would advise that you go and dry fire your gun on the field, or shoot a pod or two

hydrotest pressure is 1.6 times, not 5 but other than that, you can fill a 3000psi tank from a 4500psi source, watch the gauge on the FILL STATION, not the bottle.

Exactly. The only stations that you would have to watch out for are the auto fill ones that just dump in 4500 psi.
