You think I'd get as much out of a single D4 15 in a ported box at 1k rms as I do out of the 2 12's sealed at 1k rms?

I would say yes for two reasons
1. The 15 will have similar cone area (Of course, it's not going to be quite as much, but if you do the math you may be surprised at how close it actually is)
2. The ported box will obviously help the output, possibly making up for the smaller cone area |

Does anyone have any car audio sites that allow you to pay in payments? For example, American Musical Supply ( www.americanmusical.com) allows you to do 3 or 5 payments (depending on how much you spend), rather than trying to pay it all at once..
Edit: One more thing, would I be better off with a Kicker S12L7 or an AudioQue SDC2.515?

Don't forget to mention the one sub getting 1kw rms would be as loud as two subs getting 500w rms.

On a side note, Matco ran my credit and approved me for 10k worth of tools 
Also I think I got my new box designed, it also spared up room for 2 more batteries, so thats also nice, plan on competing in dbdrag probally the 139.9 class

My current tab is just over 700 bucks, I got approved for a loan worth 10k of tools if needed.
