Okay, For the SDC would that hifonics amp still be sufficient? And also what box specs should I use? I'm planning on buying a box, not building one.

Yes, the hifonics amp would be good for it. It would be overpowering it by 300 watts, but as long as you don't turn the gain up too high or go crazy with it, the SDC will take the power fine.

Should I look for a different, lower rms amp? Like ~600-700?

No. I'd rather have a little more power than not enough. Just don't go crazy with the gains and volume as stated before. Just do a little reading around google and you can find plenty of guides on how to set the gain. Also NEVER EVER use the bass boost feature. It will destroy your sub.

What are the odds somebody else in here has a Pioneer DEH-3500 h/u?
It has so many layers of settings for the EQ curves and i just don't quite know where to set them

No, just don't crank the gain trying to get it as loud as possible and you'll be fine. If you have a digital multimeter, that would be the best way to set the gain. Just google for tutorials on how to do this.

mine literally has 20-30 settings. Like you can select how the curve goes with the L/M/H and then fine tune the curve and stuff.
Edit: so whos making new thrad?
I just need to know like what they do but i can't find anybody who knows

I think that my remote turn on wire came loose. I'll check it out later.

Does anyone have any car audio sites that allow you to pay in payments? For example, American Musical Supply ( www.americanmusical.com) allows you to do 3 or 5 payments (depending on how much you spend), rather than trying to pay it all at once..
