I got one in trade the other day and it seems to be a VERY NICE marker. Even though some parts are interhcnagebale with an ION it is definitely way above an ION in quality and manufacturing.
If he can get one for $200 w/ tank and hopper tell him to go for it.

Well, if you're gonna be doing his maintenance, then you'll probably want to kill him every week. The Epiphany is a bit of a pain to strip down and do routine maintenance. He could probably find an XE or an EOS pretty cheap. I ended up getting my EOS for $215. the Bolt Out Back will help a ton with simple maintenance.
Still, I can't argue with getting an Epiphany, and a tank, and a loader for less than $200. Of course, I'd like to see it to say whether or not it's worth it.

if you're gonna be the one maintaining it, for your sake, tell him to get something else..i loved the way my epi shot, but taking the damn thing apart completely every time to clean it ughhhh horrible so i stopped using it because of how long it took to clean...

false....once you get good at it, yes it is more than every other gun but its still not extremely bad
also to make the gun lighter(or make it feel lighter) simply get a dropforward..i have a cp drop and right when i put it on it make my gun feel better in my hands

if you think an eos is a pain, then i wouldn't bother with an epiphany.
I'd say for me the #1 thing that is the worst on an epi is the eye wires are very fragile and every time you go to maintenance the marker there's a chance of ripping the wire out of the harness or damage insulation on wires.
That's whats nice about the eos, there is no need to even deal with that aspect of maintenance

My Epiphany shoots great. It isn't terrible to take apart as long as you know what you're doing. It does take noticably more time and effort than alot of other markers though. Use a small allen wrench to pry the eye wire harnes free from the body of the marker, that way you won't put any pressure on the wires themselves. Great gun, more of a hassle to clean and maintain than others, but a whole package for $200 isn't bad at all.

i got one on trade also. I love the gun it shoots great, the great thing is that they are cheap to upgrade as well. I got mine for 200 and put another 200 into it, and it is a fast gun and shoots smooth.
