L3 of L4??

Ok so i just started a new team, i haven't been playing long so i am not the best, and neither are my friends (but we managed to get our hands on a bob long alias and an angel for cheap!!), and we love our electric hoppers, but at our skill level i don't want to play L3, and would prefer L4. I don't want to use a non electric hopper because it would shop like crazy.. any suggestions??

if your just starting out, the comp is going to be very tough for you. main thing to keep in mind is to just have fun. try to practice and scrimmage teams every weekend. watch other good 3man teams at fields and pick up on what they do on the field and how they play. and i didn't see a single mechanical/electro hopper combo at mps 1 in L4. not saying there wasn't one, but our team and every other team i saw was using electronic guns with gravity feeds. we had no problems except one of our kids had a mini that chopped bad and made a mess. but his gun does that with his halo to. so its not something to worry about as long as your eyes are on.

I use mech marker/ Elec hopper but that is just me. I also have my Ego and mini set up and ready for back up if I decide I wanna do a little shake and shoot.

Like OK said go to the field close to you and watch other guys playing speedball/hyper ball. And alot of times they will let you jump in and do a 3 V 3 with them.

Best thing to do is just try to have fun. Our first MPS tournament last year we placed 10th I think. But we stuck with it last year and are starting off decent this year.

practice against better teams and practice fundamentals instead of just playing games all day. you need to allot a certain amount of your practice time to drills or you'll just keep using the same sloppy techniques all the time.

qft. also see if you can get a player such as an L2 or L1(best) to coach you a little at practice so you start with the right technique instead of wrong. like how to play certain bunkers and snap shooting. also run communication drills.
