The Hornets are a bunch of posers, short and simple. My recommendation is to not waste your money, but if you must go, don't play the Beeswax game because the hornets hella cheat (wiping, starting early, refusing to get out, etc.) not to mention ****ty language, bad sportsmanship and trash talking are all typical of this self-proclaimed "team".

I had that exact problem the last time I had played that field, which was about 10 years ago.

Glad to know some things never change.

I am a recent hornet, they do not cheat, we are just organized, and often lose the beeswax, it all depends. I recomend the jungle as a great place to go with friends, lots of games all day. The hornets are more of a big club that anyone can join. Jungle gets an A from me. You get what you give, I think alot of people bring bad attitudes to any paintball park, but I find most of the current regulars at the jungle to be mature and fair and pretty encouraging to new players.

Maybe when you have played there hasn't been any cheating, but I was just there this weekend and there was.

Dude running the field was talking about how this was the day the Hornets were going to lose, there were only six Hornets and a ton of other players.

It was so strange....after the game started the hornets were able to at least double their numbers. I wish every game I played my team could do that.

The reason why you have the animosity towards the hornets that you see here is because of stuff like that. Don't claim to play a clean game if you are not.

The field is great. Went there last weekend. TONS of FUN. And 1 more thing we BEAT the hornets in beezwax!

Whats up with these "hornets" and "beezwax games"? Im moving to the area in june and so far this doesnt seem like the place to be...what other fields are good though?

Other fields: sunol paintball, bay area paintball

Jungle paintball has a team called San Francisco Hornets. It's not really a team, more like a big group as stated above. Anyways everyday they play a game called "Beeswax" which is where everyone at the field is against the hornets.

When I played at Sunol paintball, they did a similar match. It was the sunol staff against everyone else, about a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio of players:staff. A few of the staff cheated as well untill a kid on our side kept yelling until he got out.

I would see that most staff/team members would wipe as it would seem embarassing to get out by a walk-on or for whatever other reasons. But it puts a bad example upon other players, especially ones witnessing the wipe from the sidelines.

Last time I was there in March they said the airball will be moved up front to the other speedball fields by early April.

I been to this field several times and its one of the closer woodsball field to where I am.

The field does have players that wipe and they don't call themeselves out until we start yelling at them or shooting them a few more times.

The beeswax game after lunch is fun but to win the walk ons and new player need a strategy. Otherwise its really disorganize and the Hornets capitalize on that.

The field is very large and you can be at one end of the field and end up at the other end. They have a few game variation such as capture the field, center flag or elimination. If you don't likes the woodsball they have a few speedball course made up of wooden bunkers. Also they do have an airball course as well.

Overall I like the field and will recommend others to come and play there.

What are their rules on paint?
Do you have to pay a fee if you're self equipped and bring your own paint?

How is their Riot Ball?

They will let you bring your own paint but they slap a $15 fee on top of your entrance and air fee. I haven't used their Riot Ball, but they do sell Karnage paint which is an allright paint.

Hornets suck, what a joke lololol.

I love their fields though, fun layouts, and efficient games.

I hear the air-ball is dope too, but just go to Sherwood next door for X-ball.
