ok so there's a leak coming from the back QEV pushing my bolt forward. I've taken the whole gun apart cleaned it, but it still leaks from the rear QEV.
I have no idea what else it could be other than a bad QEV but I highly doubt that's the problem because I had it working a weak ago.

anyone?

It's either bad or possibly has come lose. If it's not broken get some Loctite 545 and reinstall the QEV. If it's cracked or broken get a new one.

Only 2 items that would make your qev leak is the #11 rear rammer oring or the solenoid.

The qev may need a new diaphram, they're a ***** to change and you could possibly break the qev housing in the process. Your best bet is to either bring to a tech who can change it out for you or replace the whole qev. However if that isn't it then the noid or the rammer oring. Check them in the following order: rammer oring, qev, the noid. I say that only due to expense and ease of service

ok I'll check on that stuff.
Could it possibly be an LPR oring?

And I did remove the QEV and put it back on with blue loctite. It doesn't seem to move but maybe it's still got a leak

The rear QEV would not leak if it was bad. At rest there should be NO air getting to it. That is why youneed to check the oring and/or solenoid.

I def think it's a Rammer Oring because I put dow 33 on the orings and it seemed to seal up. Plus it comes out way to easily compared the prior 05's I had.
Anyone know the size of the rammer orings?

anyone know the rammer oring sizes?

The oring sizes are listed in the manual. It's definitely worth a download.

Also, lots of great info in the archive. Worth a look around:

FYI, you should never use a grease of any kind on your rammer. That info is also in the manual.

are you sure your macro hose lines or whatever aren't cut? pulling the hoses from the qevs can make them end up getting little slits in them and cause leaks...whenever my gun leaked its because of those...qevs shouldnt go down unless u like..break em

I know to use oil but I wanted to see if the seal of the dow stopped the leak. It was just a test. I always use gold cup oil for my rammer.

and what size hose can I use for the qev? I had some lp hose left over that fit really snug and it seems to be working.

thanks alot guys! went to lowes and got some orings to replace them and now no leaks!
for anyone who was wondering the sizes for the orings in a hardware store:
The brand is Danco orings
008 is #36
009 is #5
011 is #6

Spent 20 minutes ripping apart boxes to find the right size lol
Someone should throw those numbers in the stickies.
