i was lucky to get 3 pods off a 68/45 with my mini. biggest piece i owned. inconsistent, like 50 fps jumps. choped like a mofo. i hated it. i was lucky to get what i did for it. $280, and it was fully upped. fully. detents, bolt, board, barrel, feedneck, trigger, backcap, grips, thread saver. just a waste imo. but glad you liked yours
should have parted it out to get more $$$ for it...

Everyone has a problem with any gun at some time or another. Its just if you read your manual enough to know your gun and what needs to be done when a problem arises.

Most of the problems with the mini are user error 99% of the time even though people wont admit it, EVER!

Yesterday sent out my 06 etek all stock, going to Roswell, GA. Traded it for a red mini BNIB with voodoo grips and 50$. Im pretty excited about the trade, I love the feeling and style of the mini's.

I own a G3 and it went down yesterday while playing.( new bolt bs ) but the field let me use a mini and I believe I will be buying one very soon. Is there anything special I should be looking for as far as buying one. That had to be one of the smoothest guns I ever shot

stock is best, maybe barrel but other than that, don't **** with it too much or you'll end up like the other guy crying cuz he spent like $800 dollars worth of "ups" but ended with nothing...

Well today at my field it was raining, and naturally I didnt want to get mud and rain in my Protege, so I pulled out my mini that hadnt been shot or lubed in about 6 months. I worried that it would leak or be incosistant. But no, it shot ropes! So I walked out on to the field and merked some fools with no worries. And I was getting 8 pods off a 68/3000 fill!
thats not that good efficency i get 6 pods off my 48/3000, but not having it lubbed may devastate those numbers

i had very bad experiences with my mini, it was very inconsistent and it wasted so much air (half of a hopper drained 1000 psi off of my 45/4500 tank). idk if it was because it was an early model or something (i bought it when they first came out). i ended up selling it. my ion shot alot better than my mini :no dodgy:

The only problem I've experienced with my Mini was the very first game I used it the solenoid got stuck open. I took the solenoid apart and very lightly lubed the plunger inside. I've had no issues since. As for upgrades. As much as I like New Designz products, their Mini bolts just don't friggen work. I have a V2 with spring kit sitting collecting dust. I could never get any efficiency out of it at all. I now am Running a Rhythm Innovation bolt and Delrin trigger and am very happy with the markers performance. It has been delegated to back-up status since my primary is now an '08 Etek 2 with a cure 2 bolt and Zick kit. But I still bring the Mini out and play some times. I've got a game next Saturday and I'll probably break out the Mini for that game. I won't lie the thought of selling it has crossed my mind a time or two, but only briefly, then I came to my senses.
