All day they stood in the blazing sun. Reffing game after game, back to back. No water, no food, no shade. Busting their butts all day long. And then to hear complaints online.

I think they did a pretty good job, not perfect (who's perfect?). But I was just there to have fun (played Pump on Sunday) AND I was on the dorito side. The U side is much harder to ref.

Just my point of view, I think the refs should get a break and some water/food otherwise they will get 'sluggish' as the day goes on.

They get water, food, and breaks. It still sucks though. I think the refs at this event did a phenominal job. I really didn't see any bad calls and I saw many many very good calls with run-thru's/etc.

Agreed. Penalties were assessed when needed and refs were on top of things. Great job.

The refs did not divert the the killer waves that were happening during the tournament. That is why there was a mediocre turn out and soooo many boring games during the finals. Darn refs.

Good job refs!

ooo yes refs get food but not much water... they get a ish load of rockstars... which bt-dub do not hydrate peeps very well.. but gettting like short breaks throughout a 12 hour day is kinda rough

Maybe there should be 2 'lines' of refs? One set can ref, the other rests/eats/rehydrates

Also they could pick the 'best' refs to do the pro's/finals?

Yeah, we got a couple of bad calls too but, the refs are human. I was pretty tired after the 5th game. The refs were there all day and only got a 30 minute break and a smoke. No wonder they had a ton of empty monster energy drink cases in the ref area! The refs did a good job! I hope they have the last one here too!
