Mini regulator not holding still
So after taking my mini apart (following the video of course), I attached my HPA tank to the regulator. When I move the gun around I can feel the regulator moving side to side even though all the regulator screws have been tightened.
Has anyone had a similar problem? If so how did you fix it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
john

first you'll need to remove the grips from the frame. there are 4 set screws that hold the reg in place. two that are in the gun frame on the side and two more that are on two posts that are inside the frame near the air transfer tube. you will need to tighten these to lock down the reg, you may use some Blue loctite to secure them. be careful not to strip these. replace grips and you should be good to go.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately, I've done all of that but it's still not working.

well, im not sure, but i know how i had to lock mine down. try loosening all the screws, top and side. then make sure the reg is fully pushed flush with the bottom of the frame. then screw in the Side frame screws most of the way, then tighten the Top screws inside so they rest on top of the side screws (vertical pressure?). this should pin the reg pretty tightly. (rather than wedging the top screw with the side screw (horiztonal pressure))

It did. I thought I had tightened the vertical screws enough but apparently not. It is holding still now. Thank you very much.

I partially stripped one trying to fix this same problem but I haven't tried to loosen is yet . It's holding the regulator tight so we'll see how long I can go.

u'd think that Kee would make a modified way for the reg to attach to the gun, seeing as how this has happened to both my Minis and many other ppl... then u have to keep going back like once a month and do it again

the only way i have got mine to stay snug is to blue Loctite the heck out of the screws, all four. as far as Kee doing anything to release something that will improve this.... i dunno. mine doesnt really knock loose now though.

well, with ALL separate moving parts held together by screws, things rattle budge and well, move. screws unscrew themselves, cant be helped. thats why they came up with lock washers and loctite. KEE is no different from any other machine shop that has a problem with this, its just the physics of a screw. dont blame KEE for what they cant control. go to walmart and get a $3 tube of blue loctite and itll solve the issue.

i just added an extra screw on the opposite side of the grip frame on both of my minis worked great. $1 a gun and 30 sec of time.
