Please Help!!Blackheart,QEV leak

After installing the blackheart board there was a small leak coming from the qev.I played a couple times with it.Took the board off today, reinstalled it to see if the leak would stop and it started spewing out air from the qev and bottom of the solenoid.Help me diagnose the problem please. Thanks

installed my old board and everything works fine.so im thinking o-rings, solenoid, or qev on the new board.I only did some dry fires with co2 before just to shoot the gun.Otherwise i always use HPA.Can co2 cause one of them to go?

Check the red o-ring on the qev. Make sure its sitting right and put a dab of sleek on it. Should help you out.

I'm having the exact same leak issue. So I'm assuming we call tech support? Any guidance would be appreciated, especially if Sean could chime in...

Its a real bummer for me because I was so excited to get out this weekend to try the new board.

I wouldn't say poor manufacturing...it happens. The important thing is that smart parts is admitting it and has a solution.

Anyways, I called tech support and they are aware of the problem and want me to remove everything and ship it back to them...why can't I just get a replacement QEV?

Sean?

Sean?
Couple reasons. (1) Keeps bad parts out of circulation. (2) Keeps anyone from saying they have a bad QEV just to get another one. (3) They get to look at the parts and know what went wrong and how to address it.

It sucks that you have to send in the whole thing but that way they'll be able to send the gun back to you in what should be perfect working condition, and the few times I've sent mine in its been serviced and returned within a week

I too ran in to this issue..

After about 20 to 50 shots, the QEV would bleed out.. I would place the Oring, and the problem would continue.

I had called SP, and spoke to their tech. They did instruct me to mail it all back, I wasnt about to pay for that to happen, (10 bucks in shipping? Id rather just buy a replacement QEV). He then transferred me to Sales, where the gentleman in Sales, sent me a replacement QEV free of charge.

Moral of the story.. give them a call, and speak to the folks in sales, explain your situation, and ask for a replacement QEV (I was totally prepared to purchase one, because buying one outright, wouldve been cheaper then sending my stuff back to them). They took care of me over the phone. Thanks Sp!

Just got the Leak fixed today. The O-ring in the QEV was not seated properly in Llama's case. I cleaned it, applied a small amount of sleek, and re-seated the o-ring. No more leak. Make sure you put the inner body in the correct direction, and that the locking pin is in correctly also. Llama, you're up and running and I'll have your gun for you Saturday at practice.
