I know you would be trying to camp out on the west coast. But on the East Coast only the homeless do that crap. Plus were would you keep your stuff in a tent?

Camping is allowed BUT....
Camping is allowed, south of the pier in the parking lots HOWEVER it’s RV camping only. (no tents allowed, tent trailers are ok)
RV’s CAN BE RENTED at several RV rental places in the area however I must warn you, the cost is very expensive….get a room, it's cheaper.
Any hotel on the beach will be expensive to stay at, even if it’s a toilet, get a hotel a couple miles inland and you should be able to get a place for around 50-60 bucks a night. Hotel6, Sleazy 8…who cares what the room is like, your not going to be in the room very much anyway. It’s Southern California; no one sleeps on the weekend!

Sleeping on ANY BEACH, after 10:00pm in So Cal is illegal. Cops do beach checks at 10:00pm with helicopters and 4x4’s and bright lights…they patrol all night as well.
Sorry bud, the days of crashing on the beach like the Big Kahuuna are long gone.
