Apparel Question...

So I've heard two different stories and either way is fine, just want someone to clear it up.

I heard that the outer layer is required to be longsleeve...

I also heard that you can wear short sleeve...

I'm trying to wear a short sleeve and arm pads. Anyone who can clear this up is a big help.

The rule last year was long sleeves were required and jersey had to be tucked in. I know the tuck in rule was changed and I heard something about the sleeves, but I forget what it is.

hopefully you can play with a jersey hanging out.

the tuck in rule is horrible....i would rather be able to play comfortably.

PSP jersey rules FTW

8. Equipment
8.1. Clothing
8.1.1. Players must wear only one pair of full-length pants and only a long-sleeved jersey.
Players may wear only one layer of underclothing consisting of, at maximum, one pair of under-shorts and one short or long sleeve t-shirt, provided that it contains no padding. Any other soft padding in garments is prohibited.
8.1.2. Prohibited colors – any player/team found to be wearing clothing that may impede the judge’s ability to make a proper call, may be asked to remove such clothing.
8.1.3. No part of a player may be covered by more than two layers of clothing.
8.1.4. Padding in jerseys is not limited to specific areas; provided that the thickness does not exceed 5mm (0.197”) Padding material is limited to an open cell foam and must not be modified from the manufacture’s original form.
8.1.5. No short sleeve or “sleeveless” vest type jerseys can be worn as the outer most layer.

What about Under Armour? Nothing padded, just the tight fitting shirts that are supposed to keep you cool. These were NOT considered a layer in CFOA or PBC and were allowed. Would these be counted ? Thanks.

I doubt that this would be considered a layer. I would think it's safe to wear.

attended the ref. clinic on march 1st, and under-armor and such attire will be considered a layer of clothing. you dont have to tuck the jersey in the front of your pack. and your outer most layer must be long sleeve. (no basketball jersey or t-shirts allowed to be your outermost layer even if you have a long sleeve on under)

yes. anyone who has additonal questions about a certain article of clothing being "allowed" or not, i would recommend finding an EPL REF before matches begin and get it approved.
