Pump Division Open!!!!

Thank you so much for all your requests for a Pump Division in the US Paintball League Huntington Beach Surf City Open. The event is April 3 - 5, 2009 and we have added a pump division for Sunday April 5th for 16 teams. To register your team, visit www.uspaintballleague.com and click on Registration.

With a ton of teams playing the OSC in Vegas 2 weeks before, this would have been great to hear maybe a couple of weeks ago........

TG would absolutely LOVE to attend but as said, we will be in Vegas 2 weeks prior.

I think its awesome that a pump division has been included.......I just hope that the division gets the respect they deserve. It seems like everyone overlooks the "pump" guys/gals. In San Diego, when all was said and done, the only NPPL staff that was left was the clean-up crew. There was also not alot mentioned about the division and the standings or anything.

Looking forward to attend a USPL event as long as the pump division keeps included.

Maybe post this up on the USPL website as well???

As mentioned above, I would love to attend this event, but I doubt it will happen because of how long it took to announce the pump division (I understand you guys at USPL have had a lot on your plate starting a new league and all...).
That being said, I'm sure the pump division will be an overwhelming success. There are plenty of SoCal pump teams chompin at the bit to play HB. Keep us posted and we'll see you at a future event.

Just like the fine guys at TG have stated, alot of the SoCal pumps will be in Vegas. I hope that this is in the budget for teams. Our team should be able to field a squad considering 10 of our players aren't going to Vegas. Hope to see some teams out there.

i'm not sure if you've already done this, but i personally think there should be some sort of classifications for teams so that the team isn't stacked with a ton of pros

In the pump division? I could care less if there was a team stacked with pros playing against us, that is if you are speaking about the pump division.....

A pro with a pump is just another pump player..........

Is this a limited paint format? (im sure the teams would like to know so they can practice)

Will it be played as centerflag?

Who is running this division..........the USPL?

I still see no update on the USPL website of a pump division.

I really have no say in this because I'm not attending the USPL... but...

In my opinion the entry costs for pump division shouldn't go up because of announcing the the pump division so late. Or, at the very least the entry fee should stay the same until the March 17th deadline.

Hell, it might even encourage more pump teams to sign up. I know the $50-$100 entry increase isn't that much, but I don't think it'd hurt if it just encouraged one more pump team to join.

Eh, my logic probably sucks, but I figured I'd throw my suggestion out there. I'd just like to see the pump division not get canceled and for it to continue for each event. Hell maybe even watching the finals game on the webcast would be amazing.

Your logic is dead on in this case

Unfortunately, no one from the USPL is giving US any feedback on the info we want......
