Also try expedia.com When you enter in the city and looking for hotels, on the right hand side of the page you go interactive with map and it will give exact locations for each hotel. If you get closer on the interactive map, you will see the pier where the event is being held. The closest one is a Best Western, but it's pricey. The other 2 down the street are pricey as well but very nice.

there is not really a actuall address for the event since its on the beach...last year i just found a restaurant on the beach and map quested that as far as directions go...

The event usually takes place near the pier at Main St. and the Pacific Coast Highway. There is a restaurant at the end of the pier called Ruby's.

There's another restaurant at the base of the pier called Duke's.

Either of these addresses should work for you when using MapQuest.

Hotels next to the beach aren't going to be cheap. There is a Best Western that is walking distance to the pier. It is north of the pier:

Their free continental breakfast sucks, but it has guest parking, so you are not forced to pay valet like all the other hotels in the area.

They gave us a great rate and it includes full hot breakfast, we stay last year and it was comfortable and clean

Huntington Beach is located in Orange County between Los Angeles and San Diego. You can get there from the interstate 405 and take the beach blvd south exit.
