Tourney Begginer Gun

I am trying to decide what gun I should get for tournament play. I am a mid-front player and I don't have a lot of money. I'm mainly deciding between Ion, Epiphiany, Proto SLG, or Rail, or an invert mini. Any advice?

SLG for sure, find an 08 for real cheap, or get a new UL for like 300. Easy maintenance and pretty reliable. Stay away from the Smart Parts stuff.

Instead of buying those guns new you should buy a better gun off here used. You can get an 05 or 06 ego for 250.
Oh and dont listen to half the people saying stay away from smart parts. Most have no reason to hate them, they are just jumping onto the anti-sp bandwagon. One of the best guns i owned was a shocker. If you take care of a sp gun it will take care of you.
Mostly look into the guns yourself. Go to a store or field and ask to check out some of the guns. What is most important is how the gun fits you not someone on the nation.

Whatever is comfortable for you. You gotta pay for it and play with it. As long as the board can be set to the league rules and locked your fine. Obviously there are advantages to higher quality guns but it comes down to what you can afford and like. Try to buy local first, it will save in shipping and you can usually try before you buy.

the best low priced gun new is the Dangerous Power G3/Dangerous Power G3 Special Edition, get one of these over the minis and the slg's
but like they said, a used better gun would be a good option as well

Na, the 09 SLG UL is alot better then the G3. The G3 shoots like crap, SLG is definitely alot better. But for a beginner id buy the 09 SLG Basic for 200 bucks and your good to go.

Alright Ill probaly look for a gun used like a lot of you said, but can you tell me some pros and cons of some of the suggested guns. I know I need to look for some of this stuff myself but I figure it's probaly better to ask people from expirience than to read a companies product review trying to sell it. Thank you guys.

I agree the Dangerous Power G3 should definitly serve you well. That's exactly what I'm getting.

proto for sure. you can get a 09 ultralight for about 200 now

Thanks, but can you guys give me some specific reasons why you are suggesting the gun you do,besides just price.(even though it is important)

the guns suggested are/have:
light
eyes
relatively cheap
good triggers
easy to clean
reliable
What else can you ask for in the price range?

05 ego.
-get the feel of ego power

-rarely breaks down
-when it does eclipse fixes it. ALWAYS
-unlike dye or proto, whitch have screwed me over 400 bucks on a 200 doller gun

but when it simply comes dow to it.
every gun is going to shoot.
others are going to shoot smoother than others.
or louder.
but all pretty well the same.
find what fits ur hands good.
and go play

U really cant go wrong with any gun u pick(out of egos,dms/pms, mini) its mostly about personal perefrence. Also dont forget its about the player not the gun.

get a used ego. resell is decent compared to a shocker, more efficient than most guns, the two egos that were at my field were very accurate, and they are just great guns for the money. Poppit = better efficiency, and IMO better accuracy...but you need to shoot some guns before you buy them. I shot a shocker at my field and loved it, next weekend I shot an 07 Ego, and loved it more!
