Epiphany Problem

So the other day i was paintballing, and to keep things short, i got shot in the finger and paint splattered all over the side of my gun. The paint got behind the power button and leaked across my board (whatever board comes stock with the epiphany). The gun was fine for the rest of the day, had no problems with it. The next day i find that my gun is on, and instead of a double blink pattern i see a solid red led light that i can't turn off, I had to physically open the gun and take out the battery to actually turn it off. I tried several brand new batteries thinking i might have just had a low battery, but that didnt seem to fix the problem. I decided to completely take apart the gun where I found the paint on the board, I cleaned off the paint with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol and I'm still getting the same solid red led light that i can't turn off. Now im wondering, am i just retarded and there's nothing wrong with it i just don't know how to program it? or is my board destroyed? I've checked all over google and in the manual, on faq's and everything and nothings had the answer....help?...

Thanks in advance,
-mike

Edit: I should also add that when i take the board out, the power switch on the board is functioning normally, it can be clicked and whatnot, same as the programming switch, its just that the led never changes.

You board very well might be fried. Heard of this once before happening to someone and they had the same problems and that is what it was. If it turns out to be just that then you can contact Smart Parts about it. Or take the chance to go ahead and upgrade your board.

like he said, your board could very well be fried i say save up for a new board, you will eventually ( if you do ) look back on this and be proud of your decision

Take apart your whole gun, clean it thoroughly, and then let it sit in a safe place (taken apart) for a day or two. This might help because it will air it out and not be constantly constricted. Your board may very well be fried though so either call SP or upgrade.

blackheart board is hardly an upgrade.

if i was you, I'd get a used ion board here on BST. this gun isn't worth spending over 100 in upgrades.

Why not? And how much would an ion board run me?

you'd probably be able to get a used ion board on the BST for about 15-20 dollars.

I'm pretty sure that the solenoid on the ION board wont take the higher pressures.

The difference between the two boards is the solenoid

The stock epiphany board is an ion board adjusted for the epiphany solenoid. Finding a replacement board isn't difficult, but if you are considering an upgrade... I would not go for the blackheart board. I would sooner consider a virtue.

true, but just don't use the firing can inserts. as long as you don't use those inserts, the pressure won't exceed that of the ion noid.

those things aren't even that useful anyways.
