does the dye rotor shut off when not in use
is it like a halo, if not does it just get quieter or something

it doesn't turn off, it doesn't use any battery when its not feeding anything

Yeah, the rotor doesn't draw any juice to speak of when not feeding other than illuminating an LED and LED's don't take much.

Do u mean does it have an auto shut off feature?, cause it does not, there is no micro controller therefore it is not smart enough to do anything cool except go forward at 1 speed

I think he means that if he is playing a game and stops shooting for a sec, is the rotor still constantly feeding like a vlocity.

the vlocity is not always constant feeding... yay if you have your ball stack higher than 1 it is... but i have mine on 1 and it dosnt constant feed.. i get better battery life this way...
