1 or 2 day prelims?
EDIT: It has been confirmed that the prelims will be spread out over 2 days with the finals on Sunday for every division.
I just made the poll last too long

nobody wants to be knocked out of the tournament in one day. draw it out over 2 days like every one is used to. its nice to be able to enjoy the event, the weather, the vendors, watch other games, etc and not have everything crammed into one day. plus i know teams like to go back to the hotel and plan out their strategies and game plans for the next day. some days teams are hot and others they might be down, so give us an opportunity to play 2 days.
thats my opinion anyways, looks like the poll is heading in that direction too.

Well I like how you are trying to give everyone two days of prelims; however If you want to do this I think it may need to be for the upper divisons seeing as how most of your lower divisons is kids and teenagers that are either in college or highschool. meaning that they may be there longer and may also have miss more school......but then again if its just friday-sunday I see absolutely no problem with it....I guess I was thinking more as if you brought this up on a thursday playing day.....(my bad)....so two days isnt a bad idea at all.....play four games on friday....and four on saturday with quarters.......then play semis and finals on sunday? just a thought ....dont flame lol.....

I say 1 day. Regional tournaments, we learn our fate in one day. In the pros 7-man, they learn their fate in one day. Nobody likes to stop when they get on a roll.

I agree, it's nice to be able to have that extra time to make changes to your gameplan and be able to discuss everything over with your team, and still get time to enjoy the event. With it all crammed into one day, you're under more pressure and you're getting less time to prepare and plan with your team. A couple of losses in the first day could kill your team's morale, but a fresh start the next day might lighten the moods. I vote 2 days.
And this is coming from a high school student. If you're going to be traveling to an event, I highly doubt one day will make much of a difference, especially if that one day is a friday. The events are all on weekends.

yea but they wouldn't be having every division play prelims on saturday. some divisions would play all day friday and then sit around saturday doing nothing and then play finals sunday, and other divisions would only have to fly in friday, play sat/sun and then leave. its unfair making some teams fly in earlier so they can play on friday. make all the divions have to play their prelims over friday/saturday like it always has been.

1 Day would just make things a bit cheaper for all players in this kind of economy I think it would be better.

but it wouldn't. it would only make it cheaper for some players. a lot of teams would be forced to play all their games on friday. why should they have to fly in an extra day early? i dunno, i just really like the idea of making it a full event and playing games all through friday-sunday.
and if you get knocked out in the prelims and don't make the cut, what do you have to look forward to the rest of the weekend? you can't redeem yourself the next day, you just sit around doing nothing because you aren't flying out till sunday.

I'd prefer two days, I'm already hauling my *** out to the event mine as well stay for a while, staying another day is not very expensive. Only concerns are it is slightly cheaper for the player but won't make much of a difference. However, for the USPL it may be cheaper if they can get in and out faster.

Most flights are cheaper if you stay over a Saturday. I don't remember why that is.....but it is.

agreed. i usually need a day just to adjust to stuff like weather.
my first tourney in the south during the summer ever was NPPL Tampa 2005, and the first day of pre-lims, i about passed out in the middle of a game because i had never experienced tempuratures over 90+ degrees in my entire life (northern alberta born and raised, upstate ny transplant)
