until registration for HB... will any solid information about the rules, playing schedule, vendors, sponsors, ranking system, pricing, etc be released before the 16th so teams can make educated decisions about putting up entry money and buying plane tickets and booking hotels?
US Paintball League’s 2009 Schedule
Introducing Your League’s Western and Eastern Conferences
The US Paintball League’s 2009 season will consist of six events. The season opener, the Surf City Open, will take place on the beach in Huntington Beach, CA April 3 – 5, 2009.
The US Paintball League will offer Divisional teams three titles to compete in; a Western Conference title, Eastern Conference title and the National Series title. To win their Conference Title, teams will be able to earn points in three events. To win the National Series, your team can play in any of the six events with your top four scores counting towards the over all title.
Bart Yachimec of Edmonton Impact explained “we wanted to make sure teams who couldn’t afford to compete in all of the events still had a chance at earning a championship by only having to travel to one event. Just the same, teams who want to support the circuit by playing in most or all of the events will be rewarded with the opportunity to swap out some of the standings”.
US Paintball League Commissioner Chuck Hendsch added that “By introducing Conference play the league is looking to add excitement to the series race and give teams a better chance at winning their conference title, a National title or both.”
All six dates of the 2009 US Paintball League are confirmed, with some venues yet to be announced:

More details surrounding the conferences will be included in the 2009 US Paintball League Rule Book.
i am well aware of that information. by playing schedule i meant what divisons are playing what days. chuck mentioned in the interview that pros are playing fridays, does that mean divisional play is only on saturday and sunday? they havent specified any of the details. i know the rulebook is supposed to be close the the nppl's but theres been nothing official. no word on system of classifying rostered players. no clearing up on rumors of a paint tax or paint sponsors. there is still a lot of information to be revealed and registration is approaching.
