The Ultimate Empire Prophecy thread - Information, Tech, Mods and FAQ

This thread is made to bring together all the information and help for the Prophecy into one place.

Please feel free to ask questions and we'll add any good information into the index and the FAQ. Please do not troll this thread or take it off topic. We will be periodically cleaning up the thread to help keep it as useful and concise as possible.

Thanks

Simon

WARNING! If you are NOT technically inclined, it is NOT recommended to remove the body shells completely. You can clean the loader simply by removing the front body of the loader, and the front body only, as seen in the video here!

If you do take the body shells off completely, be careful putting them back together and be sure to do it following the instructions here, for the first few times until you get used to it!

Please let me know if there are any other videos or information you would like to see by posting in this thread.

Quick Load lid

*Easy to open and fill with paint from a bag at the beginning of the day and to empty at the end of the day.
*Holds shut with Magnets and a snap system.
*Dual durometer overmolded construction for strength and reliability
*Smaller lighter fingers made solely of rubber to prevent sag and breakage
*One way gated rib system means balls drop in easily, but don't come out during play
*Extra large opening for easy loading. Larger than any of the competition's systems.
*Quick change lid system. Change back to a normal lid in seconds if you want or need to because of weather. This also allows you to keep the lid flat in the original package to completely prevent sag when not in use.

Friction fit (snap fit) lid system
*Easy to open snap fit lid system
*No magnets for ultra simple reliability
*Optional magnet location for holding the lid open (user installed from the spares that come with the loader)

*Genuine 200 ball capacity
*Ultra small loader with very low profile
*Narrow angled front to reduce target, especially in the "Snake" and "Dorito" bunkers.

*HUGE capacity increase in a body shell that has the same cross section as the Original Halo B. 235 rounds compared to 185 in the Halo B.

280 Round Front Body

*Quick Change snap off/snap on technology
*Genuine "two pod" capacity
*Shoot for longer off the break
*Stay in the firefight for longer
*Same small frontal cross section area as a standard loader!

*Lets you use whatever batteries are available
*Lets you use just one type of battery for your loader and your gun
*Small clean design, no wires to pull or break

Aluminium Feedneck insert
*Ultra strong will never break or crush.

*Heck I can't even wait to tell you... but I must. Stay tuned. You'll hear it here first!
*Are you with me camera guy?

Prophecy (all body styles), Halo B, Magna, Rotor and VLocity profile comparison video and images

So I had a Rotor and VLocity digitally scanned (accurate to within 0.02") then brought them into my CAD system and aligned them with the Halo B, Magna and all versions of the Prophecy.

The result is pretty interesting....

Watch the video in HD, it looks a lot better as it morphs from one to the other.

The original images are below too.

Loader weights in different configurations and how it compares to other loaders

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C121jjn9H6w

There has been some small changes to the Prophecy plastics (added some ribs to make it easier to assemble) since the Pre-Production loader shown in the video, but it shouldn't have made much difference.

I can't remember for sure (it's been a while since I made this video), but I think I weighed the VLocity and Prophecy with 9V batteries, and the Rotor with three AA batteries.

WITH batteries and ready for use, the loaders as shown in the video came out as:

Velocity weighs 18.2oz
Prophecy in 200 round is 18.3oz (1 paintball more than VLocity)
Prophecy in 240 ball set up weighs 18.7oz (5 paintballs more than VLocity)
Prophecy in 280 ball set up weighs 19.8oz (15 paintballs more than a VLocity)
Rotor weighs 21.5oz

The Prophecy was designed to work with reballs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reXVPwaubAQ

The freeway anti-jam system is Reball approved by Alvaro from the Chicago Reball Center.

We've shot hundreds of thousands of reballs through the Prophecy in development, testing, and general use.

If you are having trouble shooting reballs, the number one thing to check is that the loader is assembled correctly. Please check out the tech tips on what to look for if the loader is jamming, and watch the assembly video to see that the loader is built correctly.

The Rip Drive system

The Rip drive is a legendary innovation for paintball loaders and once again we've incorporated it into the Prophecy.

Some people asked how easy it is to use it on such a low profile loader so I made this video to show that's it's even easier than before!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5ktc0K8uEo

The Rip drive wheel could save your game if your batteries die during play, or if you get a bad ball that you need to clear. It's the best and most effective manual anti-jam ever designed for paintball, and it's also a life saver to keep you playing and in the game if your batteries die!

What comes with the Prophecy when you buy it.

A quick video to show you what comes in the box when you buy a Prophecy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TOWuU65vu8

Many accessories are available, but in essence, you get the loader with the standard 240 round front and magnetic lid system, the loader is ready for RF (you just need a transmitter) and you also get three spare magnets for adjusting the clutch or lid if you want to and the nice, very informative, user manual.

All other parts are available separately.

A comparison of the Old Halo B (Empire Reloader B) body style and the new Prophecy loader.

A quick video to show you the similarities and differences in the older body styles and the new!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVFsQiEOEY4

In essence you can have similar styling, but a lower profile, lighter, loader with increased ball capacity from 185 to 235 balls! That's 50 balls more in the same size loader!

How to assemble the body shells correctly (video and pictures)

A detailed video to show you how to put the loader body shells together.

Please make sure you do this carefully and correctly.

Once you put the body shells onto the drive, if the neck insert is loose, and there are big gaps between the feedneck parts then the body sides are not on correctly.

When you go to install the back plate if it doesn't line up with the switches, or fit easily, then the body shells aren't installed correctly on the drive.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXnZOMgevpc

When putting the loader together check these things as you go...

First check that the outlet cover/Anti-jam is in place correctly

Install the left hand body side first (as per the video above) and check that it is lined up correctly

Next install the right hand body shell as shown in the video above.

It's REALLY important that the outlet cover/anti-jam and floor fit correctly into the recess in the body shell as shown in the next three images. If not then this WILL be a cause of jams.

And when you look at it from the inside...

And from inside with the front body on...

And last, but not least, this is very important, make sure the shells line up together flush so there is no part of the shell sticking into the loader, and that both pieces jave their ridges above the clear part of the slide.

Run your finger along the inside of the body shells at the back and make sure they line up flush. If they don't this will cause jams.

How to quickly clean the Prophecy.

There is absolutely no need to fully dissassemble the Prophecy body shells to do most cleaning. In fact it is recommended not to take the rear body shells off unless absolutely needed. You can simply remove the front body by pushing the upper and lower release tabs at the same time and removing the front.

You can then put your hand in through the front.

You can also put your hand down and into the loader through the lid opening thanks to it being 33% larger than the Halo B.

How to quickly change the lid system of the Prophecy and install the lid spring

The Prophecy has a quick change lid system. You can swap out from a Quick Load lid (like a Speedfeed (tm) ) to a normal style lid in just seconds. This video shows you how...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D-gLSiEMDs

When re-installing the standard magnet lid or the friction (snap) fit lid, you may want to use the spring to keep the lid open. This is optional with the magnet lid and if you install a magnet onto the friction fit lid. I personally like to have the magnet and the spring.

Some pictures to show how the lid spring fits.

The most important thing is to get the arm that fits into the left hand side of the body shell under the ridge. Shown in the picture below as the 90 degree angle that's just disappearing into the body shell. Sometimes it goes really easy and sometimes it helps to poke it down with a small screw driver or allen key.

Always install the spring and lid with the lid fully open.

Just don't force it!

With some of the early body shells there's a little ridge on the inside where the location for the lid pin fits, that rubs on the spring arm. It's a little raised or flashed. You may want to clean that up VERY CAREFULLY with a sharp knife or file/sand paper to get the lid to open very nice and cleanly if it doesn't open perfectly when you first install the spring.

All new Prophecies will come with the lid spring.

How to quickly re-configure the Magna clutch in the Prophecy

You don't even need to take apart the body shells or remove the front of the loader to take out the extension and re-configure the Magna clutch.

Some people prefer to remove the front and put their hand in from the front. Some people can do it by simply putting their hand in through the lid opening.

The drive extension (the piece that holds the magnets) is only held down by the magnets.

To get it off, push down on one side of it, and then get your finger tips under the other side. It holds on tightly but a swift tug will get it to release.

To put it back on it needs to line up with the key way on the top of the shaft. Put it back into place on top of the drive system and then hold it steady while rotating the rip drive wheel. Eventually it will line up and snap down into place with a nice "click"
