1100-1300 dollar entry fee + paint costs + travel expenses = shouldn't need patience.

I'm sure there's a good reason though

lol im just sayin ANY other sport would have there ducks in a row LONG before the onset of the actual season...how would nascar operate when they changed from the old car to the car of tomorrow and gave the racers less than a months notice??? thats all the notice we got (give or take a week) for the new rules for this years season...

ok so crew builds a new car and gets all the quirks work out before the first race only to find out nascar still doesnt have a tire sponsor (right now its goodyear but lets say they said no more goodyear)

tires make all the difference in a race (much like paint makes all the difference) keep in mind teams buy about a million dollars in tires PER TEAM for the year...now lets say less than a week before the race and nascar still hadnt let the teams know if they can use goodyear or not...

thats the same thing thats going on here!!! it wouldnt work in nascar or ANY other sport so why does it have to be this way for paintball!!!!!!!!!

all the patience and beer in the world isnt a good enough excuse for the fact that the people who are preparing these events arent doing there job when it comes to informing the players and having EVERYTHING for the event in order BEFORE THE DEADLINE!!!!!

face it when these events have a entry fee deadline and that deadline is passed and teams dont even know what paint they can shoot that is simply ludacris!!!!

*opens beer*

You have a point but there is one thing I know about Larry, he won't hold it against you for the first event. He understands what we go through to get our paint and all. So, for the first event you would be safe to use what ever was legal last season (with the exception of Sever).

*Get's ready to hug*

I went back and forth with him through emails, and was basically told KEE or Pro-Caps. Anything else - forget it.

So... No JT for my boys, which is a HUGE disappointment, however, we were expecting that. But, we STILL do not know what we're looking at cost-wise for the paint being provided at the event.

It's called picking up the phone, dialing the CFOA hotline and asking him. The subject came up in a conversation he and I had when I called him about some other things.

...in the non gayest way possible...lol

as long as he is cool with people shooting whatever for the first event ill totally understand...but like someone else said until he specifically comes out and state *to the public* (unless its already stated in the rules-wait the rules arent even on the website anymore lol) what we can and cant shoot then i would shoot whatever paint i can get my hands on....cept monsterball of course, or anything with pink fill.

i think the refs will just laugh at you if you show up with either of those...and i will too haha

good luck with getting some info...at this rate its gonna be like ok lets award the prizes now and we'll start with diqualifying teams 1-8 due to the fact they shot illegal paint.

lol
THE SEASON HAS ALMOST BEGUN!!!! and thats really all i care about!!!!

As far as paint, Larry stated in one of these threads somewhere that it is ProCaps, Kees, and maybe XO. Sever is a big NO, NO. I can't find where he posted it but Larry has said it to me and you can take what I just said to the bank. If you happen to bring XO to the first event I think he would be understanding. BUT as Bign said, if you want to know for sure (hear it from the horse's mouth sort of speak) then call the CFOA hot line and send emails. They will be answered.

As far as XSF 2003 goes...STFU. You are a waste of air and time. You always try to stir something up don't you? Can't help yourself. Any time you can trash the CFOA you try. Or if you can make a conspiracy out of nothing you try. As always, you fail.
