More Air Efficient?

My epiphany is really unefficient with air more so than other guns ive tried, for instance a 3000 cui tank is empty after about 200-300 shots. Is there anything that can make it more effieient? I heard that the qev sorta helps with that but im not sure. Any suggestions will help.
Thanks

ya definatly get a qev. other than that, a new bolt would help effieciency but u dont wanna dump that much into the epiphany

not all of us are rich so smart parts guns are the way to go. Anyway as for the efficiency thing, try different firing chamber inserts. I messed with the different possibilities till I found one that works. Different settings work better in certain places so you have to experiment for yourself. I got a 48/3000 psi tank and I get around 600-650 shots if I had to guess (1 hopper and 4 pods). So try it and see.

It's a spool valve design, they are inefficient by nature.

hell, even DMs are gas hogs.

get a cocker

okay for the people who aren't so serious about paintball that they are willing to spend a grand on a setup....besides the QEV, not much is gonna make ur epiphany extremely more efficient. Smart Parts guns have always been gas hogs and always will be...

It's not necessarily the fact that they are smart parts markers, but now EVERY smart parts marker is a spool valve design.

The only one that was semi efficient was the Impulse, not stock though. they had a heavy aluminum bolt and the ram shaft wasn't the slickest.
Not to mention the stock dwell on an imp is kinda high.

Compared to my cocker, the impulse is a hog, but then, cocker is one of the most efficient markers out there; when properly tuned.

So basically ANY spool valve marker is inefficient, due to their method of operation.

expect about 1000-1100 shots off of a 68/45 with a qev.

no one is asking you to be rich to purchase guns outside of SP.

you just need to be smart and purchase used.

dm6 for 300...ego 05 for what...200-250?

SP gun is around 200 new. just be smart with your money. the upgrades you need on the epiphany will equal that of a dm7.

I wouldn't bother with a Matrix(DM) personally.

Stick with a poppet valved marker.

Honestly i would get rid of it and find a deal on a better gun, but if you need to fix the problem (which i had) i put a QEV and replaced the reg. After the gun plus those upgrades its definitely better to find a deal with and Ego or something.

Played the past two days and got about a hopper and 3 pods out of a tank. (edit 48/3000)

Has anyone had luck with the volume inserts? Anything make a difference?

thats about 600 shots give or take a few remember you have a small tank a 48/3000 is the smallest they make. I dont know if thats all that bad. I know a 68/45 will get mare like 12-14 hundred shots . Look in the stickies under tanks maybe they will have more info.
