Barrel?

Hi, I just ordered a Vibe for Christmas and in reviews a lot of people reccomend a new barrel. Should I try to get one as soon as I get the gun? Or is it good enough for a game or two? If no, what barrel would you reccomend?

The stock barrel is fine to play, you can upgrade the barrel when you have the money to get a good one. I recommend a kit with different sizes if you can get one.

^^^i agree, the stock one is fine and dont even bother upgrading if you dont really feel the need to, but if you do, invest in a nice kit.

X3. I up'd to a 16" for my Scenario kit on the SP-1 (Vibe's twin), and there wasn't a huge difference in accuracy. A bit, but I think a kit would have been better.

I beg to differ... We play occasionally with Vibe at 1 ball per every 2 seconds for everyone on the field. 1 - it keeps costs down, 2 - it is a riot to play, 3 - we can work on our accuracy. When you play like that... a barrel makes a difference of a few inches left and right. When I went to a 2-piece barrel and 16", it was a big difference on accuracy. BUT... I would play with the stop barrel to begin with so when you do buy a better barrel, you see what you are getting. My choice would be to look at the Freak Jr Series...

I agree with the freak inserts. Buy a Deadlywinds if you want the best barrel kit ever. Freak Jr's are pretty cheap right now as well.

ya but sean not many people play the type of game you do, although it does sound neat. if you get a barrel, invest in something nicer, like a kit. honestly when your shooting 5-10 bps you wont notice the diff. between the stock barrel and a $30 aftermarket barrel. unless your style is like sean where you "long-ball" people alot then you might as well stick with the stock one or get a nice kit IF you have the money.

I still recommend keeping the stock barrel until you can afford a good kit.

u must not know how to keep your barrel cleaned properly. also anything over pretty much a 16 inch barrel will only use more air

I would recommend playing a couple games with your vibe first, get the feel of it. Then upgrade
