How to replace stock Vforce Profiler/Grillz strap with JT/VW/KM Strap
Since I did not want to cut my original strap off the clip and I do not sew, here is my way of installing a VW strap on a Profiler.
Step 1: Find some sharp flush cutters or a new utility knife and a cutting board
Step 2: Push the strap all the way over to one side and cut a small gap in the center of the clip
Step 3: Slide off the old strap
Step 4: Slide on the new strap - this may take varying amounts of effort depending on your new strap selection - TEST this before you cut your clip
Step 5: Slide the new strap back to the center - reinstall the strap and go play!
Warning/Disclaimer! The fokes at Vforce would probably void the warranty after this mod - Although I used this mod all last winter on my Profiler I cannot guarantee your safety after you perform this mod. Good luck! Be safe! Always wear proper safety equipment while playing paintball!

I've seen too many nice straps ruined by this mod. That is not to say the mod didn't work, but that it did work. I hate to see a beautiful flex strap ruined by cutting it and putting it on grills. It's like giving Pamela Anderson a sex change.

You didn't actually look at the instructions did you.. His method requires no cutting of the strap.
I like the concept, but it doesn't look reliable. I would just push the butterfly knots in like you would on other masks, but whatever works. Good pictures too, no blurry crap.

Good Idea. on my grill clips they are just cut at the top, with no gap, and just separate to slide on a new strap. I'll try and get some pics sometime soon so you can add them if you'd like.

i did this for my profilers back in may and like 2 weeks ago i put a lot of force taking off the mask and it completely came off
had to run off the field holding my mask to put it back on
i suggest taping the open gap or something to keep it there until you want to change it again

i came up with this mod a long time ago in the profiler mod thread, mods edited it though
note the grillz strap clip is not as sturdy as the profiler clip, it bends a whole lot easier than the profiler strap clip will. might just be the grill i did it on but i'm not doing it to my other grill
so i wouldn't recommend it on the grill,
for the profiler yes, my clip mod has lasted me two years of use and the plastic hasn't seem to get weaker
also this mod goes perfect with the strap mod http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...6#post40705736
now you can show your nice strap outside the ear

i did it a different way. Instead of cutting the plastic part and i cut off the actual strap(profiler strap). Then i took my boondock saints JT strap and forced the bundled part through the slot as if you were to do it on a jt mask.
The only bad part is that your profiler strap is no longer usable but i don't miss it

This mod is awsome!!! Since the Flex has a lot of cool straps and I would never spend my money on a flex.
