had I been thinkin about ITU would have taken pics of my feet. They were swollen, blistered, and in 1 spot on my foot a 2" chunk of skin fell off. I was smart and decided to save messing up my shoes in favor of walking barefoot on Monday, and Friday. Yeah, so note to all, bring junk shoes that can be trashed so your feet dont give you the bird later.

The rain was nasty, i had puddles in my tent for half of the week, got most of my clean dry clothes wet sunday night
when i was playing speedball i dove into the snake and came up with half inch of mud all over my front side, and a quarter inch on my tank cover and left grip of my gun,

On the up side, I didn't see any smoke grenade related fires... On the down side, we had trouble lighting intentional campfires. Next year: we're bringing Duraflame logs...

It never rained during play, so no big deal. I had my gun electrical taped out to survive the Monday water, and then it stopped raining an hour before the game...

Correct. That was just after (and because) the Ark was removed from The Hill.

Rain is what it is and Oklahoma gets plenty of it. The field was drying out nicely before the re-wetting on Friday. But, no games were rained out. I had wet feet and we spent some time drying out boots and socks, but thats part of the fun. The rain also held the temperature down below 90 degrees, which was very nice.
Every year I have been to DDay Ive gotten wet. Plan for it. Accept it and thank Mother Nature for keeping the twisters off the field and sunning us on Saturday.

if you have an awning over your tent and a rainfly you can sleep dry as a bone in your tent even during the rainstorms.

it rains every year there. if you were there in '06 there was tornado's 3 miles south of us. thats the right time of the year for tornados. generally if its windy when you get to the park then expect rain.
