SLG- hold trigger, Loud Click

EDIT: conclusion is "FORCED SHOT" props to Jkpz28 for the detailed explanation, and honors props to Pooner.

bought this used, for $100. hurray! and now the suspicious bad news::

so, as the title implies, when I turn the SLG '08 on, it makes a loud click if i hold the trigger down.

I havent gassed it up yet, or shot it yet, but I lubed the bolt and nothing changed.

-
question, is the solenoid fried?

if yes, what will that cost me?

arent slgs sear trippers?? (someone correct me if im wrong). if im right maybe ur just hearing the sear being tripped???

edit: i sawin ur sig that ur looking for games in CT/NY area. every weekend there are games at Matts Outback Paintball in Coventry Ct. they just inflated their indoor dome and it will be heated. cost a little more to play indoors but it would be worth it.

well i should say that I have another 08 slg--- and that does not make this noise when put in the same position.

there is a "sear" click noise-- but this noise is in addition, and continues while the trigger is held down

I'm in CT, where all are you guys from in the area?

How much is it to play at Matt's indoors?

I've got an SLG so it's not a pure thread jack. Can you tell where the loud click is coming from on the gun?

it does this because in eyes off if you hold the trigger for 1 second it will fire (the click), i think your other slg (if its the older non ul slg), might not have delay (im not sure if only ul boards have it)

ok -- so we dont expect it to be a problem atm?

but why does this only happen on the one (black) slg, and not the other (cobalt) of the same year?
-
now that I think of it, the cobalt was sent in a refurbished at dye with updated solenoid and detents.. maybe thats why?

Force Shot possibly?

It may be a Sear Tripper, But it still has Electronics. Most, if not all boards now come standard with a force shot.

I will be getting my SLG here in the next week or so. 09 UL.

It is a forced shot.

When the eyes are on and the board does not recognize or there isnt a ball in the breech holding the trigger back for a second will force the board to fire. This is helpful bc if a ball moves past the eyes for some odd reason but hinders the next ball from dropping you can force the shot and clear the breach for the next ball to drop.

The noid in these markers is very loud if your not out on the field. Thats the pop you are hearing from the force shot. Turn the eyes off and shoot it a few times and you should here the same sound.
