assuming the psp goes to 10 bps, how would we go about deciding if we ramp or not? Would it be a vote or would raehl just make a decision that he believes is best for the league?

And I'm not trying to make it seem like I'm the only one in the world who can shoot more than 20+ bps. Or even the "unbreakable" 16bps+ that you claim no one can beat. Loads of people are able to do it. And I think watching just one NCPA tournament easily proves that.

If we go down to 10bps, I say we skip ramping and go right to full auto.
As far as the whole argument of going to ramping takes skill out of the game, lol please. Trust me, I've worked to get to the point of where I can shoot both hands 13-15bps and I still prefer ramping, its just more fun. 15 was a little fast, 13 was better for sure. I'm sorry but a skill you can learn by sitting on your couch watching TV isn't one of huge importance. There are plenty of other skills I think are much harder to learn and have a greater effect on the field of play anyways; if you really think that because you wont be shooting faster than everyone else you'll be losing a huge advantage you should really work on your other gun skills.

I'm going to vote for ramping, simply because I've seen first hand how hard semi is to monitor.
I've seen people do some nice little tricks to their guns to make them quicker in "semi". And as Chris has been saying, what a lot of people consider to be semi, is not really straight up true semi.
When i had an 08 Ego, it told me all the time that i was hitting 22 and 24 bps in semi. Funny thing is, I know i cannot shoot that fast.
Lastly, for those who are trying to say that walking your trigger is a physical part of the game, and that we should not take it away, you should be more concerned with actual "physical" skills, such as running, and endurance.

Shut up Billy, no one loves you.
Personally, I think ramping at 10 is pretty ridiculous... I could see 13, but 10 is slowing it down too much in my opinion.

good point, let's limit how fast people can run so fat kids like me can be on a more even playing field...

im glad you think your so much better than everyone who likes semi over ramping.
You cant play paintball all day, so when ur not playing if you want to do something with your fingers then so be it. if you played paintball in the early 2000's im sure you did the same thing.

Where did I say I was better than everyone? I'm one of those people who learned how to shoot faster (especially lefty) by just walking my trigger while watching TV.
My point is, shooting fast in semi is a skill sure, but its really not that difficult of a skill to learn so if it becomes neutralized it really shouldn't be a big deal.
I feel like I have a decent point of view on this subject because I've played tournaments on semi before ramping was adopted, I played PSP when it was 15 and I've played PSP when it was 13, all the while playing college ball on semi. In my opinion, playing Xball with ramping is more fun and when I switched I wasn't really upset that I had spent time learning to shoot semi fast.
No offense to anyone but I'd be very interested to know how many of these people who are so staunchly opposed to ramping have played in tournaments with it. If you have and you still prefer semi, cool, that's your opinion and I have no problem with that, my opinion just happens to be that ramping is more fun than semi, we don't have to agree.

if we agree to ramp, it should be nxl at 11.2 bps and it should be a class a vote? I think it should only be applied to class a because the newer people play class aa and therefore semi would be better for them. some people dont even get guns with electronic boards in them...i have seen people play with tippmans before. thoughts to my ideas?

11.2? Where did that come from?
I think we'd allow mech semi-auto at "any" speed.

When you measure that 24 bps, how are you measuring it?

can we just turn the league into pump only? I think semi should stay, then we'll be able to boast that we have the fastest league in the country.

who has capped semi i dont kno of anyone who shoots capped semi unless thats a rule i was never informed of then of course i shoot capped semi.
if you want a capp semi at something more legit for my on hand sure go for capping at 17 on a good day but i can shoot 10 easy with my off hand. does this give me an advantage idk i play more confidently so sure. ramp is fun and i think it makes my job easier but capping semi is stupid.

I've played the PSP when it was 15, and I agree too fast, 13 sounded great ( never got to an event that year). However, who says the speed of the gun is the determinant of the game? I understand it is a blast to shoot fast, especially on ramping. But where is it written that shooting stupid fast HAS to be there for tourney ball? I remember when a revvy would MAYBE let you break 12, those times tourney ball was blowing up and no one ever said " Hey if these guns shot at 234 BPS the game would be SICK!" It kinda evolved into this and I respect the PSP for realizing that the speed of the marker doesnt matter, its the essence of the game that should be what everyone is focusing on. Ramping is , in my opinion, the answer to cheating guns, ramping at 10 BPS is something that the game, at this point in its life, might have to evolve to. I dont see it as a regression as much as an attempt to try something to help tourney ball progress.

I say we just go ahead and make it NXL full auto if we're going to shoot at 10.

yeah full auto, that's gonna make the games fun and interesting, + i'm sure it will cut down on paint bills
If you want to go play with full auto, I know of a good scenario team... they even have M4-like paintball guns and talk in code... pm me

i like pretzels?
but seriously. regardless what happens it all comes down to gun skill. if you can shoot 0148204760238457 bps but can't lane it doesn't help your team, but if you can one ball a guy running to corner you will be a much higher asset to them.
i still really don't care. the only thing i'm against is 8bps. now that's a load of bologna. 10bps. i think we could deal with but any less is getting a bit out of hand.
paintball is paintball
