In order to take 2 steps forward, you have to take 1 step back. What I mean is that now that there is only 1 major league in US this leaves an opportunity for Paintball to join the olympics. Think about it. One of the major reasons they turned down our awesome sport was because we didn't have a standard format of tournament paintball that was globalized under one organization. This opens the doors to endless opportunities! With paintball in the olympics it would become popularized across the world. This could be the sport of the future... Think about it.

Paintball will never be in the Olympics. Think about it. Iranians and Israelies shooting at each other? And pretty much any other countries that hate each other.

screw that could you imagine how many people would watch that?
are you like joking its completely realistic.
i hate listening to reason on why it shouldnt happen "oh well gear costs so much, plus nets, plus bunkers, ect"
ya have you ever built a pool?
"its a team sport"
shut up
"its based on equipment"
ya and if your guns shooting 300fps consistently you have no edge over anyone on the field
if you want paintball to look like a real sport youd dress accordingly. your xxxxl black longsleeves sick until you start playing and the lack of ventilation kills you.
the ideal set up for the sport of paintball would be some football pants with pads and a like jt jersey with pads.

Bankrupt: Pacific Paintball LLC, NPPL, XPSL, PB2X, Xtreme Paintball Fields

As reported on earlier via VFTD, Dave Youngblood , Lane Wright and Rob Staudinger , among others, are meeting in Las Vegas to discuss the PSP 2009 season. Prior to this mornings announcement (NPPL/Pacific Paintball LLC. throw in the towel), major discussions were to begin in the PSP camp regarding the often dreamed upon “one league” (one format, one brand, one league). With the NPPL filing chapter 7 and liquidating its paintball holdings, Lane and Co. will be focusing on how they plan to weather the economic downturn (recession, depression, call it how you see it).Ideas being tossed around include ending the NXL (as mentioned previously on PBR) and replacing it with professional and semi-professional divisions, increasing the ties with regional series and patching up the relationship between the PSP and Millenium series. With that said, it should be noted that the NXL has been financed for a long time by Smart Parts and they will not be too happy about “putting that dog to rest”.
