stripped eye cover screw.
the screw in the eye cover of my SLG is stripped. its been stripped for awhile, i just now got around to it cause i need to sell it.
any, i drilled a hole through it so calling dye is out of the question.
what should i do?
i have loctite, superglue, some other stuff. which one would work best?

WOW that sucks, umm only thing you can do at this point is to find a machine shop, and see if the can tap that hole, basically put new threads, but then you'll have to use a bigger screw, and you'll have to open the hole on the eye covers, so that the bigger screw's can fit

This is an absolute pain in the *** but I had the same issue and fixed mine myself. i got a new screw and eye cover from my pro shop and broke the plastic eye cover that was on it away until I could remove the screw manually. Tiedious, and nerve racking, but it can be done.

I used a very small drill bit to drill the head off of the screw, then removed the eye cover and used an engineers scribe to unscrew the body from the marker. Then i bought a new screw and a special allen key.
NO I DID NOT DAMAGE THE EYE COVER OR THE THREADS ITS CALLED PATIENCE.

Just take your time, don't be impatient and try not to scratch the body of your marker.
I took a small eyeglass size screwdriver and wedged it under the eye cover. I then proceeded to bend the plastic eye cover up until I could chip away the plastic cover revealing just the screw. From there you can just use some needle nose pliers to unscrew the screw from the body.
