Spyder victor 2 mods and ups
I was given a spyder victor for my son. What are some mods and upgrades and can buy for this gun? Thank you in advance.

Polished internals are a good first step
Remove venturi
Then add a reg, possibly a better valve or bolt
Just a few ideas, have fun

An on/off is also something I would recommend.

Clamping feedneck, delrin bolt, decent barrel, electro hopper, on/off ASA. I wouldn't mess with a regulator unless you want to run LP and do all the mods.

Depending on how much you're willing to spend, there are ways to optimize which upgrades to get. What's your budget for it?

By far the best upgrade for a spyder is a barrel, they come from the factory with a pipe not a barrel. You will increase your accuracy, gas efficency, and destroy much less paint.

the following prices are estimates for what you can pick up used equipment for. somtimes you have to wait awhile to find a good deal, but i made my spyder lp for about 200.
jj one piece barrel-35
clamping feedneck-25
electro hopper-50
bolt-15
thats 125.
if you wanted to go further you could add a 32 degres magna port valve and a bob long torpedo regulaor for another 50 or more. right now theres a new magna port valve for sell on ebay for 10 dollars plus shipping. and you can get new bob long torps for 30 plus shipping from ebay. im asumeing that your going to use co2? if you are a torp is a great reg for co2 and it works great with HPA. hope this helped.
EDIT: almost forgot, if you do get a valve and reg you'll definately want to get a spring kit, thats another 10.

2k5ing a spyder runs about $300 with the right parts, i think thats a little out of his price range (plus, you can get 2k5 timmies for under $250).

It's basically pointless now since timmy prices have come down so much. The only reason to do it is to build something that is truely yours and completely custom and learn a little something in the process.
Nice bolt stick at the end though.
Spimmys are notorious for that.

Then I'd go with Psycho's suggestions. Then just polish the bolt (if you don't buy a new one) and striker yourself so they work better.
