NPPL XPSL goes away. Bankrupt. Not good.
Quote:
Pacific Paintball and its subsidiaries will be filing proceedings under the United States Bankruptcy Code to effect a liquidation of their respective assets and business operations. The affairs and assets of Pacific Paintball LLC, NPPL LLC, XPSL LLC, PB2X LLC, Xtreme Paintball Fields LLC and Camp Pendleton Paintball LLC will be administered by a court appointed trustee in bankruptcy. The bankruptcy court will provide you with written instructions regarding how and where to file any claims in this matter.
Despite doing all we could do, we were unable to make the business a viable concern. Further, in this severe economic climate, we were unable to secure new funding. It is a truly regrettable outcome, though one which is unfortunately occurring more and more frequently in this environment. We thank all those who have supported us.

please do not worry about outside attendence,tv ,web casts, high profile venues or any other grandios plans that are not related to putting on the same quality events that you guys have provided over the last 2 seasons.
please keep up the same quality fields with turf, great bunkers, good reffing
please keep up the excellent registration process, pits, scheduling etc
please schedule events in large hub type cities that arnt expensive to fly into direct with cheap hotels etc even if certain areas of the country dont get events
please feel free to charge the entry fees that will make you solvant w/o subsidizing non tourney related stuff
please dont sacrifice the quality events becouse the team size is dwindeling and the revenues are going down
thanks Finn

This does not have to mean there is no NPPL. The legalise behind this simply states that the company (pacific Paintball LLC) will be liquidating assets. This means they are trying to sell the NPPL to recoup loses.
That could mean that there will be no more NPPL, but in all likelyhood they will find someone who can purchase it for some price. I would imagine the lenders will want to recoup some of their losses no matter how miniscule.
Suprisingly this would mean that we the players could quite litterally own the NPPL as a group. If we could consolidate ourselves and put up a united front it could really mean that we could in essence buy shares in the NPPL.

Negative, but buying pb2x would easily be a good investment.
Since when did running down the field spraying and praying become a sport is the real question...

they dug themselves their own graves. I knew it was going to happen. Unfair and bias. Never stood by their own rules they made. PSP is such a better format. Sucks for the teams that could only play nppl's

But if NPPL does go away, that sucks. I was going to play Houston as my first 7man event, but you all know what happened to that. Planned on playing a few next year. Hopefully something, or someone, can fix this all.
