I am going to "TRY" something new this year. I have found a website that will allow me to stream live video and I am going to try to set-up a webcam under the pavilion along side the registration line at:

I will know more after tomorrow when we try a test run of it. If it works we will stream video Friday Night and Saturday.

So, will it be a live feed from the field, or registration area? Oh, and you should do a live feed of the ending if it's in the village. Climb up to the top of that one building (the tal lone with the ladder) and set a webcam up so that it covers the field.

The live feed will just be from the staging area. The technology is not quite there for live feeds from the field.

Well, it IS possible just not within my price range. Plus I am not sure I want to be running around with a microwave antenna strapped to my back.

There should be audio also for shout-outs to friends and family back home.

I also hope that some folks might use it like (not sure what they call it on those reality shows where they talk into the camera) but like that to tell their experiences at the Grand Finale.

Vendors are also free to use the feed to advertise. Some of the stuff I will record and put in a loop on the channel after the Finale.

lol like those confessional things they do on the real world. Im so doing that just for fun, but from the point of view an imperial guard ( since thats the side Im playing on.)

Tested the live feed yesterday from the field and everything is working great!

If you want to give a shout out or share your experiences at the Finale, look for the camera by the stage in the pavilion.



You can call friends and family on your cell phone and tell them to "tune in" to www.ragtopvideo.com to see you nearly live (a couple of seconds delay).

They can verify that you ARE INDEED at the Finale and not just visiting the various strip joints that Central Florida is known for.

The internet live feed was a disappointment. My location was a dead zone and I didn't have the tech with me to play my DVDs and run the feed, so I shut down the feed.

Hope for better results tomorrow as I attempt to move the camera out to the main trade area where the opening briefing should be held.
