Its ruined for good. Contact PE, because it shouldnt peel. They will send you new pieces.

The aurora process should not peel off at all. Pealing comes from a chrome/nickel under coat that peels off, not the Titanium. More or less pure titanium is being deposited on the surface of the piece. By more or less I mean titanium/titanium dioxided. The compounds used are not pure titanium, they are titanium compaining compound like Tickle (TiCl4) and a bunch of others. The titanium from them are basically pulled off and bound to the Aluminum.
I hope that helps. As for the pealing. It is difficult to strip and re ano a part that has been auroraed. Becasue the Ti is resistent to just about any chemical used in stripping and re anodizing.
Another fun fact. Aurora can be applied over anodizing, that parts do not even have to be stripped to bare aluminum.

well i fell upon this page on accdient, but i recently acquired some info from Jack Wood on this....here is Jack's account of the auroras produced by PE:
Eclipse Shocker = 13
Eclipse Impulse = 13
Eclipse Cocker = 12
Eclipse Bushmaster = 1
Eclipse Nexus Ego = 2
