Also, it's a great opportunity for you guys to meet women who like the sport, too. Who knows, may even meet your future wife and be like Mike and I, where we never fight about either one of us wanting to go and play paintball all day...
I wanted to come up with something that would get more women to participate in the sport, have a learning ground... but, if you come to Grand Finale, doesn't mean that you can't run with us? Who knows, I may even throw you something for free if you help us.

Scenario teams work a little differently than tournament teams. It's based more on a certain number of players that get fully-sponsored guns to discounted-sponsored ones. The 16 active members will have alot of work to do, so getting a "free marker" or a really great deal of a marker doesn't necessarily get that for "free" - they have to work for it by working for the team and helping, encouraging, and promoting paintball to newcomers, and in our case, to women.
So, as far as the guns... it'll be Planet Eclipse again. Planet Eclipse has supported Destiny's tournament team for years and will continue it's support for the scenario team, as well.
As far as pump guns, well, that's another story. Hopefully we can get help from CCM, but I already own a CCM auto-trigger gun, so I will keep using that...

We hope to attend other scenario events like Oklahoma D-Day, MPP event(s), Black Cat Production event(s), Free Finale (Low Country Pball event(s)), EMR event(s) (running with Blue's Crew alot)... so, stay posted here at PBNation for the schedule and event dates. We would LOVE to run with your girl's team you coach. That would be great.
Oh, as far as free stuff... you'd be surprised at what can happen. Mike had a DM5 he found in the garage (yeah, can you believe he "lost" it in our garage and found it again!) and gave it away to a 13 year old girl at a scenario event we attended at Camp Blanding in September. I was all, "Wow, Mike. That was really nice of you." He probably could of sold it to her, but because he saw how much she loved playing, she was using a borrowed gun, and said, "Here, have this. Just promise me you won't ever sell it."
I wish I had the cash to go and bring my girl with- I'm sure she'd love this kind of thing.
oh well. Guess boots can tell us about it later.

We will be attending events across the country, not just in Florida, like in places such as Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, New York, California... we will try and have a schedule up as early as January of 2009.
Destiny did place somewhere in the Top 16. We were beat by EVO in the 1st round. We lost the first, won the second, and lost the third. EVO put us out. I'm happy with the way things went for us, though. It was a great year.
And yes, we want the fellas to show up to socialize with the women. That's another great perk about scenarios... the time to socialize.

If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
