While everyone else plans on flaming you, apparently, I'll try to briefly answer your question.

Pacific Paintball is the organization behind the NPPL and XPSL.

Anyways, Shaun Walker is a cool cat in my books, I wonder what the story was behind the firing.

no. i'm just a college student that has actual responsibilities besides keeping up with the paintball community.

well thats what happens when you have people above you holding you accountable for your actions. It was probably a performance issue that let him go. I doubt he wanted to leave. I really hope this will usher in better politics in the XPSL and hopefully turf will return instead of dirt with asphault in it as well as high quality venues instead of scp and SC Village.

if the issue is performance and performance is based on profits how is turf going to aid the bottomline? don't say more teams will compete. due to the economy there are less teams out there.

I've dealt with Shawn on a few occasions, and he seemed really eager to help out with anything needed as far as questions and such is concerned. He always seemed to enjoy the whole NPPL gig and put a lot of effort into it. Granted I can't say I agree with all the decisions, but then again, if things went my way then someone else would ***** instead. Being in a position where you have to try to make everyone happy is a hard thing to do, and IMO i think he did the best he could. Hopefully the new guy will have the same enthusiasm. Well see next year.
as for the psp thing, i think there should be higher ups (or their kids) playing in both leagues, just to gauge the competition and see what the other guys might be doing better and open up to new ideas, couldnt hurt

This makes for a very interesting off season...

psp and nppl are struggling to retain teams, and NPPL is not competing with about 66% of the psp teams directly (5man).

If people want to make money the leagues will merge, but I bet the companies stronghold and refuse to merge into 1 league.
My feedback is 100%

they need to learn to help new teams many real rookie teams get crushed and discouraged and then stop playing...gotta figure out how to keep things alittle more level for everyone.
