Almost every CC i know (well, during the early phases when there was actually ground engagements) has confirmed kills, purple hearts, and CARs.

Coming through MCT, my instructors always pulled me aside to ask if i fully understood everything because all the CCs they knew saw ALOT of combat. they wanted me prepared.

MY OPINION of the differenc...POGS are combat trained. And trained well. Strait out of mct, i would bet everything i own that they could function in combat as well as any infantryman. However, when they hit the fleet, POGS stop training. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE.

When grunts hit the fleet, they keep doing the exact same ****. Learning more, and becoming more proficient.

I think the POG Marine knows alot about infantry tactics, but are rusty at applying them.

ALSO, i think once a person has seen real combat, then he has just leveled the playing field. You can train all you want, but will NEVER simulate the chaos of combat. That experience is invalueable.
DINFOS trained killers eh?

Sadly everyone who joins the military should be a mature age, it's unfortunate.

haha...some are killers. some are pussies who thought they were joining an MOS that didn't deploy...retards. I guess the COMBAT part of the name didn't cue them in to the secret that we actually are meant to cover combat. bahahahahahahahah

like i said. Some are and some arn't. It is easy to be a fobbit...and it is easy to end up with purple hearts and CARS. PAO allows your personality to dictate your career. All you have to do is volunteer to go out with grnts and you can.

I know CC's with more combat time than grunts.

And wht branch do you serve in? Because i can only name one Marine NCO who has not deployed to a combat zone.

It also depends on where you deploy to, I know alot of people who wanted to go outside the wire but couldn't because there wasn't enough manpower to cover the mission on base also. Some would actually sneak off base so they can actually document something.
