I shot my Geo at a tournament this weekend, and loved the accuracy and how quiet it is. One of the Dye teams had a gun down in the CPL and I lent them my gun, when he came back he said he wanted one... And this was a die-hard DM fan who did not even care to try the Geo when I offered, he just shot it out of necessity.

I think many spool valve owners got very used to fixing things themselves, and that servicing/lubing takes at least half an hour. This should not necessarily be so, and PE is going to show the world just that. You CAN have good support and easy maintenance, even on a spoolie

spool valves have a flatter trajectory, poppets have more of a arched shot, which are both amazing for speedball, so its basically preference.. and u kno if eclipse designed it its going to be amazing.

Ummm. No. No gun has a flatter trajectory than any other gun. Thats just physics.

Ive shot both the Geo and Ego9 in millenium Paris.
This is my hands on experience.

In short:

Ego9
+As nice as Ego 8.
+Better grips, more of a ultralight feel to em.
+Super nice milling and anno as always.

-I couldnt feel or hear any diffrence in sound OR kick from a ego 8. At all!
shot side by side with 08s and properly tuned by PE techs.

Geo:
+ Very nice build!!! Just like any Ego out there. PE really delivers on that point!!!
+ Grips and gripframe like the Ego 9 with a little Ultraligt feel to it. Sort of hour glass shaped.

+- Isnt as smooth or quiet as Dye/Shocker spoolers. Ist mutch closer to the Mini in terms of sound and smoothness. Dont get me wrong. It was nice to shoot and very comfy. But Ill have to say that I expected a smoother ride for 1250$

As always, this is my very own experience of these guns. If your thinking of buying ANY gun, try them yourself first!

Like I said a long time ago the Spool valve is the way of the future. PE knew this & they released one.
Way back when they only made Shocker & Cocker parts, people kept asking when when PE would come out with their own gun. It took them a while cause they wanted to perfect it before they release it. They did the same with the Geo too.

Not according to Jack Wood. Me, I don't know what to think.

i have shot both spools and poppets, and nothing beats the accuracy of a spool valve. You cannot make any poppet gun (unless a marq, I still have not shot one of those), shoot as straight as a spool. You can fake it with smoothness and what not, but nothing will ever beat the shot pattern or consistency of a spool valve.

I didn't think so either and then I shot a nicely tuned A1 with magno kit. OMG it's just as smooth as my matrix but gets almost a case per fill. I didn't think that was possible for a poppet marker. Spool valve markers aren't any more accurate, they are just generally easier to shoot well because they historically have been smoother. Expect great things from poppet markers in the next few years.

This isn't surprising. I think it's a bad idea to make a +1000 spool valve marker without an LPR. The Luxe doesn't have an LPR but it does have an adjustable manifold that takes it's place. Perhaps the geo has a similar feature and can be tuned by the user to run smoother.

yes it does. You can adjust the volume so you can run it with more pressure or keep it at the stock setting & run it with really low pressure.

Higher volume + Lower pressure= quieter but uses more air
Lower volume + Higher pressure= slightly louder but uses less air

How do you explain the MacDev Droid? 100psi and still get 1500-1800 on a 68/4500 fill.

my fusion was THE most accurate gun i have ever shot...more so then my marqs/minis/borgs/thresholds/dms/egos/ect..

Ive owned most of the guns on the market, and have come to learn that, all guns shoot nearly the same, and accuracy is determmined on consistancy and the type of paint and barrel you use..not your gun

I've argued the same point to people for years. I'm glad someone understands.

im happy to know that if for some reason, i should ever want to get rid of my geo, i'll be able to, at very least, trade it straight up for a dm9.

Basically, whatever kick there is, is less likely to cause the marker to twist in your hand - the marker will move back straighter, rather than tilting up.

Egos with zick kit and A1s with magno kit are just about as smooth as a trix with less maintenance, more efficiency and less temperature dependence.

I dont' mean to sound critical, but what does this marker bring to the table? I realize that the whole poppet vs spool thing is a matter of taste, but with poppets essentially matching spool valve smoothness I really don't see much reason in going spool valve anymore.
except a spool is still smoother and much more quiet then a poppet will ever be. Not to mention the Droid is much more efficient for a spool then any poppet.

The droid uses a complex series of dynamic seals as a supply isolation mechanism. This system is extremely effective (I believe the most effective at the moment), but also uses 8 dynamic seals. All of this seals are added failure points for the marker. So essentially, the MacDev Droid is lower pressure and as efficient, but is also more susceptible to failure on the field. I won't attempt to make an argument over which system is better, but I for one would like to have the more simplistic design with a very small increase in kick or sound. If for some reason you do end up needing to get some more shots, with the Geo you can up your pressure even more to squeeze out some more efficiency.
