Unfortunately, everything after answering that the Epiphany board will not fit the Shocker went off the topic of this forum, and as such, this thread is being moved to the appropriate forum.
QEVs are used to vent air quickly from a hose, rather than having to pass the air back through the solenoid to vent, which slows down the air flow. The quicker the air can be vented, the less resistance there will be to the next bolt cycle, so it can cycle quicker. This in turn allows for shorter dwell settings, which can help to increase efficiency.
The Shocker does not use a QEV.
