I could see how that would tend to catch on.
The sad thing is that most people that engage in this argument have only really used one or the other and have no real basis for comparison. Most people just defend the platform they use because they feel obligated to justify the money they spent on their machine.
I was a PC for 20 years. I was introduced to Macs in 1999 and hated them. Actually, I was like most other PCs and didn't really know enough about them to know what I was talking about. I simply hated them because they were different and I didn't want to learn anything new.
After being forced to learn how to use a mac due to my job at the time, I began to like them. But I still used a PC as my home computer because I had a hard time letting go of what I was used to.
However, having to do a complete restore on my PC every few months because it became so bogged down with viruses, spywear and adwear faster then my anti virus, anti spy and adwear programs could keep up, I got frustrated and bought a Mac. Now I have 2 and no PCs. I don't see myself ever buying another PC.

Yeah, it's true. Almost all professional media is done on Macs. That includes almost all professional music, video and photography production.
